New to the N55 as well.. I don't know anything about the torque limiters but I noticed its during turbo spool up and non existent after that. Intake air temp rises 10 degrees over the pull, but is normal after 5k rpm where the compressor efficiency goes down. AFR concerns me as during spool up the AFR is quite lean and doesn't really get into what I would think is a good AFR. Example: you're hitting 13.5 psi and still have an AFR of 14:1! (are these wide band readings on our N55 engines?) Through out the boost range, the AFR only gets down to 12.3:1 which bothers me. My experience with a different engine (Mazdaspeed 3) Im used to seeing AFR's down around 11.7:1.
Just my thoughts. |

OP log looks about right - your IATs are high and probably causing the DME to pull some timing... you'd benefit a lot from a FMIC.

Didn’t realize the DI was the reason these can run leaner. Thanks for the wisdom! |

I’ll post a few logs after the install! Oh and I wanted to ask, should I opt to try the spring in the DV+? From what I’ve read it help throttle response considerably, but can potentially cause overboosting and related issues during shifting. |
