Nope, not the passenger side direction, you have to do it like that or it looks strange with the stripes going along the handle.

No, that actually isn't it, although well spotted, it must have been caused when I refitted the piece, it disappeared after a few taps though.

Thanks for sharing your photos and experience.

Questions:

1) I just put the 3m vinyl and the plastic removal kit in my cart on Amazon. Anything else I should buy?

2) Also, can this stuff be removed later?

I'm putting it over the walnut burl. Turns out my m-sport and walnut burl are not meant for each other. This 3m product is the solution.

You'll need a very sharp knife, stanley knife will do but a 6mm retractable or hobby knife is better. Also a heat gun, although a hairdryer will do, it's just slower.

Yes it comes off easily with heat.

Looks great by the way, well done!

Is the mistake the dash trim piece, left hand side on the diagonal there's a small section about an inch long that stands slightly proud and doesn't wrap around?

It's too bad you can't wrap the bottom of the dash trim. Is that because the trim won't fit back in place?

Nice bit off work there.
Much much cheaper than getting the OEM stuff.
I've not got the patience to do such a job unfortunately

Two "last" questions:

Any special advice on removing the trim pieces? I ordered the removal kit.

Are the trim pieces hard to reinstall with the vinyl wrapped around the edges? Any tricks to reinstall?

Thanks.

And a bonus question:

Will it make my car go faster? Can't wait!

No it's because it wouldn't look good, someone had done it in another thread, it looks weird.

Door handles, start at bottom and just keep pulling, centre console and dash trim just pull off easily.
