MPPSK questions

I have my 340 booked in with Rybrook Warwick for the MPPSK next week. Can anyone that has had it fitted answer a couple of questions please:

1. My car has been coded, are any of these changes likely to be overwritten when the new map is loaded?
2. I have read that something on the car has to be modified during the installation to prevent the exhaust knocking, does anyone have any specific info on this?

TIA

Mike

When I spoke to Aran from Cooper Reading he said the new software will overwrite the existing and all coded changes will be removed. Essentially back to stock if what he said was true.

Not sure about #1, but it's possible. Quite a few of my idrive settings were reset after I had mine done.

#2 as far as I recall, there are some bolt ends under the front footwell that need to be ground down to clear the heat shielding

As above, several of my idrive settings as well as seat position was lost during the installation. (Was also the reason I waited to code anything until after installation of the MPPSK. Just waiting for my OBD reader to arrive so I can code a few bits using "Bimmercode"

As for the bolt causing a knock, they know about it and should not be an issue. Mine was done at Rybrook Warwick last week and had no knocking issues.

Hope all goes well, and you wont regret the install.

Mine was the first installed at Coopers Reading and I indeed had to take the car back due to the knocking from the Exhaust. It was a bolt that kept catching the under part by the footwell. Took them an extra day to fix it.

No issues since. It is the best investment you will make!
