There is no difference in steering angle needed with a new tire unless you change suspension geometry. Keep the hands on the wheel, spinning the wheel will produce a similar result.

Then something is wrong, is it possible that someone who doesn't deal with BMWs regularly could mess this up? The car just doesn't turn the way it used to. Whether I'm going slow or fast there's a notable decrease in how much the steering angle has changed. I will crash into something if don't take my hands off the wheel to turn it more. The steering feels so much softer now. Ugh, somehow the potenza RFTs I was on handled the car so much better. The tire pressure is 38 front 35 back. Anything else I can do? Should I take it to the dealer or will they tell me "it's your non OEM tires "?

Maybe an alignment is needed? Usually once they are properly broken in they start gripping as they suppose to. |

I went and changed the tire pressures as you suggested. 40 rear 37f.The car feels much much better now but is still not like it used to be. I don't know why I have to turn the steering wheel more now to get the same amount of turn. Last edited by wantafastone; 06-09-2018 at 10:33 PM.. |

A lot of people don't understand that it takes a while for tires to wear in. I noticed horrible handling with my Porsche the first two months of ownership. The service manager told me the same thing as you said...you'll notice a real improvement between 5 and 7K. And sure enough at 4800 it was night and day.

Maybe play with tire pressure a bit...a pound or two up or down can make all the difference.

Just put these on with a new set of staggered rims. and the tires are pretty legit. I've noticed that the turning is a little heavier than when the pirelli runflats were on. why is that? I don't mind it, I'm just wondering why haha.
do I need a higher psi? Or is it the crazy grip you dudes were talking about? Jk |

I plan on getting this tire in a few months. I have a 2015 F36 with 19's. I really can't tell from the pics posted but there doesn't look like there is much rim protection with these tires. Can anyone confirm this? I have stock runflats and they have a nice fat piece of rubber near the rim seam.

Have been running these for over a year and have been happy with results. Ordered from Tire Rack and installed at a local shop. I just replaced the rears after 32K miles (80-90% highway) and fronts still have 4/32 left. Tire noise was a little high at the end, but wear was even with no cupping. Even at 2/32, handled quite well in all this recent California rain.
I replaced the rears with another set of Indy 500s, although price has gone up about $25/tire since last year and also couldn't take advantage of any 4 tire rebates like last time. Overall, really happy with ride quality, responsiveness, and longevity.

I've been running these tires for 3k miles now. They work well in the rain. I did about 65-75 mph in a downpour. I haven't taken it to the track, but spirited driving in the canyons, it handles incredibly well compared to OEM tires I had. For the price, I don't think it can be beat! Runner up would be Sumitomos HTR-ZIII's.

BMW f32
Hi there,
I own a 2015 f32 Xdrive (non m sport)... I am planning to buy Ambit wheels FF3 in black chrome.. looking at 18x9.5, could anyone recommend me an aggressive tire setup?? I am looking for something that gives the car a beefy look but doesnt stick out too far.. I don't have any lowering as of yet...

I just ordered the Indy 500 in 245/40/r18 yesterday, will install them in the next few weeks. Mainly for an aesthetic reason, to have a more wider flush look (coming out of OEM 225's).
I saw a couple posts were you guys run spacers too? Why? Any cons? |
