Haha, I asked my dealer to order "hand brushed w/ tinted gloss clear" and also emailed him pics of what I wanted...but after he screwed up my HRE order, I'm really worried about this one...

The invoice does say the exact finish I asked for so maybe he's got it right this time around...

Anyone hear anything? I was told mine would be out to be 'finished' last Monday/Tuesday and shot them an email Wed to ask for an update and haven't heard back (7 days and counting).

According to Morr a page or so back, I got the feeling that a ton of wheels were made last week and the rest would be done early this week for those waiting.

I know they were sidetracked with making wheels for Bimmerfest and companies they sponsor along with their 'new line'. I'm assuming that impacted the little people like ourselves, but I did expect to see pics of mounted wheels by now.

Apparently Andy is out on a "business trip" till the 27th as per my last email convo so hopefully by next week we'll get a clearer picture...

As it is, my winter wheels are almost completely melted off the car due to the sudden increase in temperature...

This really sucks...I've been waiting to place an order, but it seems like they were more focused on BimmerFest this past weekend then cranking things out.

I guess I'll wait and see what they develop in the pipeline...hope you guys get your wheels soon, and POST PICs!!

Definitely sucks to put it mildly. Terrible customer service. I'd go with HRE if I had it to do all over again.

On a side point, did you get your grills from and installed by your dealer? I'm thinking about getting some but wondering if I can find some and install them myself if it's not too much trouble.

Are HRE's the same price point though?

Grill was port installed by the dealer, but i gather it's a few torx screws...

I think they're about the same price, but don't quote me on that. I briefly looked at them before pulling the trigger on Morrs. Worth a look at least.

19" MORR VS8.2 with PSS: $5500

20" HRE P44SC with V12's: $9300

I ordered HRE first but then went with MORR.

Isn't Morr using a similar technique to what HRE are doing with their flow formed series though?
So compare it with their $3k wheels instead...

Its called MonoForged which is a different technique than the Flow Formed series...

Price difference is nearly 100%, so I guess I'll probably stick with MORRs if I'm going with either...I can't justify spending $9300 on DD wheels. at least to myself.

Correct! If I have to spend that money I now saved, I can probably get the M Performance Brakes or a good set of coilovers...

Right now, I'm trying to save money for my wedding this December...

But as Rossifumi knows, I absolutely LOVE the HRE P44SC series!!!

Sheesh, I know Morr has basically 3-4 different types of wheels. Looks like they've just started making (or will be) a lowest tier and a new top of the line one, but I'm not sure about cost.

I presumed the pricing for the wheels would fall in line with HRE, some near $10k and some shy of $5k.

I'd have to look into how they're all made to compare, but if the wheels are comparable quality and material wise and cost twice as much, good lord... I thought the pricing was comparable on the 'mid tier'.

I was told by Andy on Monday that mine were ready to ship but they were "sorting out the shipping" with SonicMS, which is strange because they are shipping to a parcel pick-up depot across the border form my place, not sure what has to be sorted out. Still fucking waiting!!!

That's a terrible excuse. I'm sure they're tracking orders by pen and pad and the one guy that does it is on vacation.

I don't buy anything they say when it comes to delays. I think they're just not into details related to customer service and order tracking. Small shop and probably has one person dealing with orders, the rest are worried about marketing and coming up with excuses as to why they're not processing orders.

They're probably taking everyone's deposits that they hold for 4+ months and investing them in good stocks and turning good profits.

(For the record, it's been 10 days since my wheels were said to be finished. I've sent 2 emails in the past 7 days and received no response)

Yep I was ready to pull the trigger on a set of Morr wheels. Saw this post and changed to HRE, there are plenty of HRE models that price out at the same cost as Morr wheels.
