you can put 255/35/19(slight stretch) in the rear but you'll have to change the front to 225/40/19(stretched) or 245/35/19 to maintain diameter differences for x-drive. wheel gap will be similar to wheel gap with staggered oem sized tires.

245 fits on 8.5 perfect and 265 fits on 9.5 perfect. 225 is a 20mm stretch on 8.5, 255 10mm stretch on 9.5. 235 is 10mm stretch on 8.5. run 225/255 if you want stretched look or 235/265 to reduce fenderwell gap. the poking rear tire will reduce fenderwell gap somewhat also. |

if you want deep concave you need wide width and low offset. without the flares of the m-cars these types of wheels tend to stick out passed the fenders on our f-series cars. some people don't mind or even desire it. if you lower your car and it's sticking the tire could rub. here is an example, but yours would not be as much.

you can use those sizes however by reducing the sidewall height with a lower profile you will be increasing the front wheel gap 1/4" and rear wheel gap 3/8" more than the gap that exists with the stock x-drive height. if you don't lower your car, it'll look hideous. if you don't mind, have at it
EDIT Also, 275/30/19 would be a better match with 235/35/19 since they are the same 25.5" diameter. Last edited by alohasurftoad; 08-04-2018 at 12:41 AM.. |

oem diameter is 26"
245/40/19, 275/35/19 have diameters 26.7" and 26.6". difference 0.4% will work for x-drive. fills fenderwell gap the most. taller/heavier/wider tires will slow your acceleration. personally, i find the look too "beefy" anyhow. 235/40/19, 265/35/19, 26.4" and 26.3", 0.4%. fills fenderwell gap, slightly greater than oem size. imo, best sizes for your stock height x-drive with 8.5" and 9.5" wheels, but you said the tires you wanted did not come in this size. 245/35/19, 255/35/19, 25.8" and 26", 0.8%. reduced understeer while retaining sharp turn in for best handling. front fenderwell gap increased slightly at stock xdrive height oem sizes 225/40/19, 255/35/19. front tires 20mm stretch on 8.5" forgot this one... 255/35/19 square. slight oversize on 8.5 front, slight stretch on 9.5 rear Last edited by alohasurftoad; 08-06-2018 at 01:39 PM.. |

+33 more concave* but will have some poke. however, since you are not lowering you wont have to worry about rubbing even with people in the back seat. personally, i'd do +40 since it is flush and will sling less debris on the rear bumper.
EDIT...note, +33 may not be more concave than +40. they might use the same face and have 7mm of thickness at the hub to get to +33 from +40 Last edited by alohasurftoad; 08-06-2018 at 10:48 PM.. |

I have a f36 2017 with 442 19s staggered. Im looking at a winter set 19's stag 235/35/19 and 255/35/19 with +30 mm offset, would this offset be an issue for my car?

Seeing that this has resurrected, I’ll ask because I’m not entirely sure.
I have a 2015 F30 with 225/50-R17 on The original stock wheels. I’m looking at a staggered stock wheel that is, I believe, the 397 model. Would the following wheel sizes work and the tire sizes be correct? Front: 18 x 8 34mm and would put on 225/45-R18 Rear: 18 x 8.5 47mm and put (I think) 255/40-R18 Is this correct for both the wheels and tires? AND, if I chose not to stagger them, would the 18 x 8 34mm setup mentioned above work all the way around? Thanks, -Mike |

Hey guys, quick confirmation before I buy those:
I should be fine with going from rear ET47 to ET37 using stock xDrive suspension right ? Only poke more 10mm Found a (rare) set of Style 216 with those specs: Front: 18 x 8 34mm and would put on stock size 225/45-R18 Rear: 18 x 8.5 37mm and would put on stock size 255/40-R18 Currently running staggered style 400M setup on my F31: Front: 18 x 8 34mm and 225/45-R18 Rear: 18 x 8.5 47mm and 255/40-R18 Thanks! |
