Best Mods for F30

Hey guys! I wanted to get some extra info on this... I have a 320i 2015 and I would like to put some mods on it and I'm deciding between a performance exhaust or a downpipe? Plus, I've heard from different people that I would need to get the car tuned on either one because the engine light would pop up and I want to keep that from happening.

Any suggestions would be appreciated! Not trying to spend a lot of money but would also want to prevent buying cheap quality items.

Exhaust won't throw a CEL, catless dp will, catted dp might or it might not.

A cool flame down the sides won't throw a CEL, and would look sweet

Do they black double kidney grills. Cheap and easy.

I’ve also got a 2015 320i. If you are looking at performance mods, the two best things you can do is put a tuner on it and get the SAT coded. I put a Dinan Stage 1 Tuner on my 320i and had the SAT coded and love it. It drives like a totally different car and is much faster and fun to drive. There are other tuning options to look into but I would start with those from a performance and drivability standpoint.

I really like the JB4 or Bootmod burble tune
get that with catless downpipe exhaust
it's gonna sound like gunfire

In terms of power, best mod for the value is a tune.
It will not throw a CEL light unless you did something wrong during install

If you do not want to tune your car, no point in adding any performance mod.
Get an exhaust for a sound improvement

Can any of the models be SAT coded?

To answer the OP, Catless downpipe helped my 320 alot. H&R springs, waiting for my JB+ install on Mon.

Yes. There are different options for coding the SAT along with a bunch of other features (I used Bimmer Coders). It was money very well spent.

depends on what you want to achieve.

purely aesthetic? lowering you car

performance? DP + tune +/- intercooler

sound? go for an exhaust. I guess the DP will add to the sound too but it will throw a CEL unless you have a supporting tune.

I personally went for sound because I am still under warranty. Got an M performance exhaust which I definitely love over the stock one.

PS. come visit the n20 section. plenty of mods discussed and lots of info available =]
