Rubber smell?

I think there is something wrong with my car, just been out on very wet/damp roads and when I get out of the car I can smell burning rubber. Most strange.

Anyone else have this?

Something moved or snagged from the LSD fitting at the weekend maybe, Gordon?

Have a look underneath & see if anything stands out or is smoking / warm to touch

You sure you haven't been testing your diff 'enthusiastically' and warming the tyres a little too much ?...

Mate had this issue

Had to get him to stop shagging his car,

I thought twin pipes might be the answer but it just made it worse,

He now drives a Nissan Leaf.

This is due to the very high performance of modern diesel cars, which are chosen by anyone with a brain.

Petrol?

Very 1990!

I used to get it on a 335i. I was an exhaust rubber getting hot. Not sure whey the wet would make it more noticeable.Maybe the water starts a retraction?

Have had the same a couple of times

I do drive quickly but probably not as spirited as you judging by the mods

Did worry me a bit but people say it's the DPF

I am......trying to decide which is the best mod so far. It was the Bilstein PSS10, but the diff might steal it.

Only issue is, it makes you miss the long rev range and torque delivery of a petrol. It's damn hard to maintain a decent drift with the short punchy nature of diesel torque. ( Oh god I hope NTG doesn't read this)
