Funny horn sound...
Hello partners! I'd like to ask if the Mickey Mouse car like horn sound is normal in the F3X. Last night I used mine (with a careless biker) and I laughed myself of my BMW's horn sound I have a 2015 F32 435i. After a few tries, the horn stopped working. Some hours later I tried it and worked again (maybe some kind of protection measure of the system, I don't know)... I don't use the horn, so I don't know if that is the right sound
If that sound is not normal, I'll make the dealer to check it in the next service, I think it's not urgent. The car is still under warranty. I will make a video this afternoon. It sounds like the Stebel Magnum (the second in this video): Thank you and excellent day... |

The clown horn sound is probably due to one of your two horns not working. Here's a link to a service bulletin:

Hi! The same as...? The horn sound has changed? I'm really thinking about it. I don't want the front bumper disassembled or scratches all over the place... You know, dealers are not always as careful as we can expect...

Yeah, it has a two tone sound, one tone died and it sounded really stupid. I have no idea what they did. But nothing visibly wrong.

My F36 sounds like a diesel locomotive giving a warning at a crossing.

wimpy horn

Brand new lease, horn worked for a while, then intermittent - sometimes wimpy, sometimes normal. Eventually was always wimpy. Dealer here sucks so didn't bother having the problem addressed. |

Are you under warranty? Is the horn broken? If that's the case you're entitled to replacement. Warranty covers defects in parts and workmanship. Defective is defective, whether or not a bulletin has been issued.

I was not under warranty, but I bought the car like that. So I gave the sales dept hell and they replaced both horns as a courtesy (since they sold it to me claiming everything was fully expected and functional).
