As long as it's reasonably realistic then that's fine. No matter what you do with these things it's nowhere near as good as real driving!

correct between those 3 or 4 games you wont really notice the difference mate. its personal choice then at the end of the day. all my mates have ps4 so i have one.

the biggest thing is finding a setup i.e rig or stand. which wheel to go for etc. but this all depends on budget.

i spent ages researching everything was even going to build my own rig but went GTOmega ART system in the end and at the time Logitech only did the g27 so i went thrustmaster. g29 is out now but you will have to ask liam about that. if your minted then i recommend Fanatec probably the best system but your looking at 3 times the price of the g29 or thrustmaster

personally i think this is the best system value for money on the market right now this is the PS4 version

https://www.thrustmaster.com/en_UK/p...antara-edition

t3pa pedals are nice i had them for a while before i upgraded to a set of t3pa pros, the t3pa have a rubber conial stop that mimics stiffer braking the harder you push which is nice, the alcantara wheel is lovely to hold as well.

heres xbox 1 version this has a leather wheel though

https://www.thrustmaster.com/en_UK/p...ther-edition-0

ill stop rambling now lol

We currently dont have any stores stocking them, maybe in future.

If I have a Xbox one and tv already, for one of these wheel set ups, do just need the seat and wheel/pedals?
I see they also have clutch petals, do you also have a gear stick?

What's the dimensions of the seat? I may be tempted to put one in the spare room

They all do things slightly different eg in Forza they world's on tyre physics so you have to drive more like a proper car braking in a straight line and turn in etc.

Who ever mentioned iracing though needs shooting... Probably the worst racing game I have ever played.looks like something made for a mega drive and every one that plays it takes it so seriously. It's a game they think it's a career.

Does anyone have assetto corsa on ps4? It's cheap at 23 squid at present keep thinking of getting it as I have it on pc at present.
But that just highlights the difference in sims. Many on here will be praising a particular sim because of the graphics and perhaps number of cars/tracks. Whilst other sims will offer more realistic driving characteristics.
For me I would choose driving characteristics over all else, and therefore iracing and GT stand out.

my issue with I racing is pay to play. and it's not cheap to get cars etc plus a monthly fee for something my mega drive powered years ago.

im looking forward to gt7 think that will be smart. Might get forza horizon 3 for a mess around as you can play xbox on pc now.

yea thats right. get a wheel and pedals and then the seat options are what ever you want to choose.

art system I'll measure tonight unless CazuaLLUK knows them??

if your limited on space gtomega do a wheel stand that folds flat. so you can use a dinning room chair or sofa but still have something sturdy to put the wheel on. (i think you can buy extra side supports that clip in make sure you get these for maximum support and less wobble) art is solid though

Worth shopping around for the Thrustmaster wheel, as I got mine for the XBox One from the BT shop for £105 (or thereabouts), when everywhere else was selling it for around the quoted £250 mark.

Actually...there you go...the PS4 version (no idea why they did the gash blue bits on the PS4 version, mine's all black and looks fine)

http://www.shop.bt.com/products/thru...q=thrustmaster

Not quite as aesthetically pleasing perhaps as the £400 Ferrari alcantara version, but it's 1/4 the price.....could have it retrimmed by Royal Wheels and it'd still come in cheaper! LOL!

FWIW, a mate has the logitech wheel, and I did a lot of reading on both this and the Thrustmaster 150/TMX, and from what i can ascertain, the gearing used for the feedback is better in the thrustmaster, and the logitech uses old technology but charges an arm and a leg for it.

Then obviously finding the Thrustmaster for a fraction of the price was the icing on the cake.

I don't have the luxury of a spare room I can dedicate to games, so I got a fold away stand for about £50, and to be fair, it's perfectly good enough and stable - and can be used with the Thrustmaster or the logitech perfectly well with a sofa.

It's this one.

Oh right, sorry.

What makes the £300 difference between the two, just out of curiosity - as in , better in what sense (aside from the obvious 3 pedals instead of 2 supplied as standard. I think you can purchase the 3 pedals seperately for £80 ish)?

I'm not taking the piss or anything, just genuinely interested, as trying to figure out the differences between 2 comparable wheels was bad enough! LOL!

Just bought a PS4 Pro for £330! No games or any other accessories but thought I'd make use of the good prices today.

Bought a PS4 a couple of weeks ago. Just for Uncharted 4. Which was brilliant. Looking for another decent game now. Mafia three is shite.

You could pick up a copy of the Uncharted series (remastered for PS4) which is in one bundle. All are still very good, and you'll enjoy seeing the characters as they develop from the beginning.

Another absolute blinder of a game is The Last of Us - from same guys who created Uncharted. Simply on a different level, characterisation is stunning. Surpasses any experience I have had with any "game".

Other games I enjoyed .. Witcher 3, Fallout 4, Skyrim (remastered - sitting waiting to be played again), Metal Gear Solid phantom pain, Assassins creed Unity (clunky controls, but Victorian London and side quests kept me occupied for ages), Tomb Raider etc.

Cheers Dave. I'll pick up a copy of "The last of us". I've seen them 2nd hand. I'm not in to sci fi games. which has ruled out a few of the new shoot em up. Which appear to have gone that way. Did Tomb Raider on my XBOX One. Really enjoyed it.

Oh man you'll love The Last Of Us! Probably my favourite game ever! It was the reason I bought a PS3, and I bought a PS4 so I could play The Last Of Us Remastered! Stunning game.

Bloody awesome ones!

Last of us is an action/shooting/adventure/survival horror game, it is so well written & voice acted it is like a high budget movie, and it is very atmospheric!
