I have found a pub (The Chester Fields) just outside of Chester; It has plenty of parking.

What are everyone's thoughts?

I'm also looking at businesses that are shut on the weekend but happy to allow us to use their parking area. I will keep you updated over the next few days.

We could in theory meet at the park and ride near the A51 / Sainsbury's roundabout if you know that. In theory I think entry to the car park is free and you only pay if getting on the bus etc (clearly I never park and ride!)

Other than that Stamford Bridge is a good pub with a decent food if we're eating too. Oh god the pressure of expectation.

I'm happy with any location, Chester is the gateway into some good roads in Wales and plenty of excellent photo opportunities the same is said for the lakes. The only thing with the lakes is the bloody caravans. We have plenty of time to plan and decide

No, you're wrong. The roads here in Wales are terrible. No huge great views, lovely open moorland, long sweeping bends.

Just tractors, caravans and speed traps.

Honest, up here we don't just want to keep these roads all to ourselves ...
