My wife recently bought a 2017 340i GT X-drive and while she loves the car we found out the HUH (HeadUnit High) has been replaced in the past with an "incorrect unit and the software flashed on it", and now it's having the issue of frequently rebooting, and won't take the correct software via ISTA. The dealer wants ~$1340 for a new unit and a $1900 core charge however they may not except our unit if it's not even correct for our car, or the same model.

So we're hoping the buy a working used unit.
