Sad/happy day

Sad day
Said goodbye to the 330d today. Owned from new for a few days over 6 years and put 63k on it. It’s been a great car although not without a few niggles ( a good few hundred+ saved via Bmw comp warranty) but in the main, economic, quick and tireless on long drives. In reality all the car i ever really needed. I will miss it, hopefully it finds a good home as I’ve P/x’d. I got within a few hundred pounds of what my balloon payment was one I paid it off two years ago so was really quite pleased to say the least.

Happy day
So this meant I picked up a M340i this morning, car seems great so far. I’ve heard folk saying how economically these things are but never quite believed it. Mainly due to busy motorways on my 150 ish mile return I managed 46mpg!!! I can’t believe!!!
I am under no illusions that this will go south in line with the right pedal!!
Had the dilemma of m340i or d….. Having had the 3,0d I love the effortless torque; had a run in the petrol and tested drive the Diesel. The petrol felt just to have more occasion, and this maybe the last opportunity to have a quick petrol car before we are out out to fossil fuel pastures, which to be fair may well be fair enough.
Anyway loving it so far , but will still look back at the F30 with fond memories.
Also, shout out to Beerglasses007, for the run out in his and helping to balance the d vs i dilemma, not that I needed much convincing.
