I recently purchased these drying towels from ebay. Yesterday I washed the bimmer and used only one towel to dry the whole car which measures 16''x24''. It worked better than any chamois or synthetic absorber chamois I have ever used. Absolutely no streaking whatsoever with practically instant drying. What was weird is that I didn't even wring it out once not even when I was done. Idk how it works so well but it did so I I thought I'd share

At 16"x 24" you've got a very small car, I'm not surprised it only took one towel. The last time I bought MF towels I got a package of ten for the price of that one.

Quality of the towel scales with price.

There's a big difference in 1 of those 10-pack towels you bought and one of any $14 towel.

Not saying this guy's 16x24 towel dried a whole X5, but yeah

Since I'm Posting in a f30 forum that's titled F30 POST it must mean I have a bmw 3 series am I right? 2014 f30. One towel that measured 16''x24'' did in fact dry my whole car. And they come in packs of 3.

the one I have found to work the best so far is called Dry Me Crazy microfiber towel.

It just drinks up whatever water is left after it sheets off.

Those look just like the grey, edgeless towel from Adam's that I use (and love).

Cool! I deff love these better than my absorber synthetic chamois. One little towel soaked up every drop with no streaks at all

The 16 x 24s are on clearance on TRC direct. You can also pick up the 16 x 16 5 pack for $24.

I personally like buying white ones. Helps me see dirt easily so I know I have to change sides or rinse.

I use the Eagle Edgeless for detailing and removing wax/glaze, but use the Waffle Weave/“Pluffle” for drying. The “Pluffle” towel is very absorbent.

Another vote for adams. I probably won't change until I can get a powerful enough electric leaf blower to dry the car without touching it.

I just ordered the 5 pack Platinum Pluffle, 4 pack Eagle Edgeless 500, and the Everest 1100 + 800 last weekend. Will be first time trying the Pluffle and Everests so didn't want to promote towels I haven't used. I'll report back with results by next weekend.

50' extension cord, $30 leaf blower that's only used for this, 5 minutes of walking around my car and pointing the leaf blower. No water in emblems, mirrors, lug holes, grills. $45 8 years ago.....still not touching my car to dry it.

I don't even dry my car after washing it anymore. Why waste that time? It's going to rain in a few days anyways.

do you have a filter on it to block all the dust its sucking up to sand blast at your car?

that method is a good one but id look into one of those battery powered ones so i didnt have to fuss with the cord

Some ppl have hard water that leaves terrible water spots. We do here in Orlando. What color is yours btw, guessing white?

Silver. I usually like a shade of silver/grey. Hides dirt and water spots better - less maintenance.

Ok so here's why I don't care about the "dust" that I'm "sandblasting" my car with.

The ground surface is wet around the whole area of my car. Where is the dust coming from?

I have enough Protection on my car that any dust particle that should be airborne and make its way into the turbine mechanism of the leaf blower isn't large enough to make any noticeable sand blast effect on my paint surface. I don't blow dry my car during dust storms just like any other normal person.

Forced air will always be less abrasive than dragging anything, no matter how soft a material, across the surface area of my paint per square inch of surface.

To answer your question, no I don't use a filter of any sort when using the leaf blower to dry my car. I'm not really trying to be smart arse if that's how I'm coming off, that is just the best way for me to explain my logic.
