Collection Day! *now with pics

On the train down to Park Lane!

Photos to follow!

Edit: photos added. Not the best but Park Lane doesn't have a dedicated hand over bay and the protesters weren't helping with traffic.

Cool. Don't forget to give a cheery wave to the Extinction Rebellion protestors at Marble Arch as you pick up your new 3 litre SUV!

They are lucky it's not diesel and I'm giving their children asthma!

Enjoy, I was thinking last night when I passed an X3 that I've not seen a M40i or M40d yet, I think the 40i will be lovely.

Make sure you check the paintwork before closing the deal.

I bought my 10 month old 435D GC from Park Lane last year, checked it out in their underground garage and then had a test drive on a very overcast day.

When the sun finally came out a few days later, I discovered how appalling the paintwork was, it looked like a demented monkey had attacked it with wire wool and a wire brush.

Took it to my detailer and he said it was the worse paint he had seen for a car less than a year old, took him 4 days to sort it out.

Give them their due Park Lane did cough up the cost of detailing.
It should not have been put up for sale in that condition.

Enjoy collection, might see you drive past as I head over to Marble Arch later (hotel not the f***ing protest!)

Dont check the fuel consumption before you get to Luton.... mine can be in single figures after a few queues through London. But over 35 on a good run when Driving with Miss Daisy (aka my 84 year old Mum) at the weekend....

Enjoy!

I wonder what the deal is with the congestion charge when driving out of the showroom within the CCZ? I assume that the car is exempt for the ULEZ charge? So £11.50 to pay?

And good luck navigating your way around the road closures Marble Arch/Park Lane/Hyde Park Corner...

If OP can afford 50k car then surely OP can afford £11.50 on top of that

Exactly. Just a reminder so he doesn't forget to pay otherwise it's a £160 Penalty charge.

The dealer didn't mention anything but I think when I collected my car from there they said they pay

He loves it and is very happy with it. I had to come to work but left him in the car setting it all up.

Dogs have been no where near it yet although we've got a boot liner which covers the sides already
