It is a hardware limitation inside the transmission having to do with the active clutch packs on 3rd and 6th gears.
Because of the switch between the different planetary gear packs, 3rd/6th have to use a much weaker set of clutches active. Factory acknowledged this and set the limits at 380Nm for 3rd and 6th, while the rest were set at 450Nm, for the 8HP45.

Sure you can tune those limits out, and for the time being it will hold, but it will reduce the life of those specific clutch packs.

I finally flashed the trans. I 100% recommend.

My first 0-60 run shaved .28 second off my previous best. [IMG][/IMG]

I'm gonna have to say don't want it. the trans shifts very firm in manual mode. I'm guessing because it cannot anticipate when you will shift? Or just to feel sportier?

Why wouldnt you want firm shifts in manual mode? Doesnt a soft shift necessitate a slower shift?
