328i xDrive Sedan - Bridgestone Driveguard or Potenza?
Hi there, a newbie of sorts and would appreciate some suggestions here.
I have a 2016 328i xDrive sedan and the tires have already pretty much wore off and need to get them replaced (it has Continental tires with staggered specs). Currently for my specs BMW is offering me Bridgestone Potenza. Whereas Costco is offering me Bridgestone Driveguard. Is it safe to go for Bridgestone Driveguard (even though its not 'officially' certified on bmwtirecenter.com). Costco is of course working out lot better for me price-wise. I live in Virgina, USA where it does snow a fair bit in winter and am going for all-season run flats. |

I've got Driveguards on my wife's E90 and have been pretty satisfied for a RFT. The sidewalls are fairly weak, though, and have had two replaced (under warranty.....low wear) after sidewall failures due to potholes. For her car, I would get them again as they wear well and are ok in rain and light snow.

I've had many tires, the Driveguards I had on my BMW were quite impressive in the traction and noise department. I have since swapped for a different/non-rft size.
