Odd variations between JB4 Map 1 and Map 5

I recently installed the bluetooth connect kit atop my JB4 and I am noticing a trend that I find concerning.

I only have intake, catback and the JB4, so I have been playing with Map 1 and 5. For some reason I can only hit 10 psi on map 1, but I can hit 12.5 psi on map 5. I have been told that most folks attain around 12 psi on map 1. In addition, my AFRs on map 1 stay close to 15 even when approaching redline on WOT. On map 5 the AFRs creep towards 14 towards the end of the run. This still seems extremely lien to me, but I don't understand why map 5 is delivering the expected values and map 1 is not. I would have thought it would be vice versa.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
