I will, I've had quite the struggle dealing with Bilstein. Originally I was going to go with the ACS / Bilstein static setup. It may be a blessing that I couldn't get the shocks from anyone. From what i've read, the street comforts are fantastic for a daily driver. I stumbled across this video which tipped the scales for me in favor of the coilovers. No rear sag like ACS, can dial in the height, and hopefully a even better ride than stock. We'll see if it's worth it.

Adding to the discussion. If there is a need to maintain OEM suspension height, it's possible with KW Street Comfort coilovers.

So i'm still working out some minor kinks (need to re-attach front swaybar and lower the rear more) but as someone who is pretty OCD and very nervous about moving away from OE components and damaging the ride quality......all i can say is WOW, WOW,WOW,WOWW!! The comfort is unbelievable, it's better than stock! Right now the settings are right in the middle as recommended by KW and it's amazing. I've got a 1 finger gap in the front and there is absolutely zero ride quality issues. The bouncy OEM feel is gone but the comfort remains, i'm shocked there are zero drawbacks. I'll post pictures this weekend but I had to put some feedback up here. The ride is just mind blowing.

All done, here are some bad before and after pictures. I did have to go with aftermarket adjustable sway bar end links.
The good: Great ride quality. I'm genuinely surprised at how well this soaks up bumps and dips. I was waiting for the car to pogo on a particular high speed dip but the rebound is fantastic with nowhere near the amount of bouncy travel as stock. I would recommend them to anyone who is worried about retaining ride quality. The car handles great, I wouldn't say it's "on rails" because the dampening/rebound is set in the middle but it's perfect for my daily driver setup. The Bad: Depending on what you're looking for they may not go low enough. The rear is on the absolute lowest setting possible. The kit comes with an extra perch for the rear that was removed, I guess this would be good for someone who wants to keep stock ride height. Overall, I would recommend them. I've done eibach and H&R spring/shock setups on my previous vehicles and I can say that there is no comparison. I'm very happy bilstein is on backorder which led me to these coil overs. Let me know if you have any questions! Last edited by BuefordTjustice; 08-20-2018 at 06:51 PM.. |

Sounds just about perfect for me.
Great ride quality while taking away some of the float, with the xdrive suspension, would be ideal! A small drop would be a super bonus, but I don't want it too low, as I take the car on gravel roads and up to the mountain in the winter (don't want to "plow" snow and clog up the front air inlets). Couple Qs: 1 -- Did you have the car corner-balanced after installation? 2 -- Can you share how much to install? I really want to get this done! 3 -- Did they do an alignment, or say to get an alignment, after the install? Thanks again for the update! = ) |

1. No, I’m never tracking the car so didn’t even ask
2. $750, I’m in Chicago so I suspect our labor prices are higher than other areas. Work was done at a Indy shop. 3. Haven’t done alignment yet. I want to drive t and wait to see if anything settles. I’ll probably get it aligned in a week or two. If you’re looking to get rid of the slop this is perfect. You can go higher than stock if you want, so ride max height isn’t an issue with this kit. I suspect the V1 or V2 is a bit different Last edited by BuefordTjustice; 08-20-2018 at 08:38 PM.. |

Also in your other post you mentioned you were considering ACS springs (which I current have installed on my F36). What changed your mind? Thanks! |

The street comfort KW is nice because stock (xdrive) height is on the lower end of its adjustable range. The other v1-3 have stock height at just outside of its maximum adjustable height (so at max height on v1-3 I believe you are 1" or a couple tens of mm below stock xdrive height).

I went with the coil overs because I was having a impossible time getting bilstein shocks. It was a blessing in disguise as the ride I got out of the KW is more comfortable than stock. I hear the ride on the ACS is okay, a couple users reported some pogo in the rear under full load. |
