I haven't' heard of a single person with that tune or any review. Might as well include AA as well but this thread is about MHD vs. bm3.

Anyone have a good custom setting for the n55 335 burble? The OEM is a bit too low and OTS is a little more aggressive but not by much. I want a little bit more but not enough to destroy my CAT or be annoying.

I'm leaning towards BM3 and may the pull the trigger in a week or so when the kid is back in school and I have time to do it properly. One thing I am wondering is if people are going for the $50 add all maps option or going for just one map.

I got bm3 before they had the map pack but sprung the extra $$ for 93 stage 2 and E30 stage 2 when I moved from LA to Raleigh (LA only had 91 octane). I actually switch fairly often between 93 and E30 maps. I also have more than one 93 and E30 map with different burble settings, cold start on or off, etc. I have about 8 different map configurations in "My Maps" page.
Regarding burble settings, I like duration for normal set at 1.5sec, for sport set to 2.5 and aggressiveness set at 2.0. Each ROM will be slightly different though.

Yep. In Sport + in the lower gears, shifting from 1 to 2 then down from 2 to 1 the car seemed to be looking for the right gear to be in. This would cause some jerkiness from time to time. Maybe it was an adaptation thing where it needed to be reset? Bootmod3 clears adaptations at the end of each flash so that could have done it or they could have made some changes to make shifting smoother, I'm not sure and I'm still trying to find out.
Overall I'm super happy with the way the car feels and responds now. Probably the best purchase I've made for this car so far. |

Well... looks like I'm back to undecided until both tunes get an update... I'm definitely not going to pull plugs and start messing with gaps etc... but I do want the most power but not going to give up daily drive-ability...

I have ordered the cable for mhd for android. The whole jerkiness thing with BM3 kind of has me spooked and mhd also gives me the option for a BEF if need be. I also like the fact of doing logs with my phone instead of laptop or purchasing or making a BT device.
While some say BM3 is faster, I am inconclusive on that and realistically that will hardly make a difference for someone like me who doesn't go to the track or gets in street races too often. |

Do you have a JB4? Is that cable for a phone or PC?

Cable is phone to OBD directly ... no adapter req'd... Compatible with many Android applications including MHD E and F series flashing software, including both stand alone flashing and JB4 back end flash maps.

ok. I have a jb4 but will try only MHD first....funny thing is, is that someone on MHD FB page says MHD is faster and another person said BEF is faster...so who knows. I will buy map pack and if I have to go BEF route, then maybe I wasted the price of that. Money is not the concern as I just want what is best, yet don't want to waste cash.

Sort of like an intake, which seems like a waste of money and leads to issues. What results with a FMIC will I really get?
