Anyone consider a 6 series GT?
Even though I have one of the last 3-series GTs in the US (2019 model year), I am often curious about ”upgrading” to the 640 GT model (G32)- believe 2019 was also the last year it was sold in the US.
Has anyone sat in one or compared? It would be interesting if there was an article or video that compared them in terms of dimensions, driving comfort, performance, etc. They seem to be even more rare than F34s! |

They were updated 5GTs. They weren't produced very long, and weren't cheap, explaining why there aren't many around. Google 640 GT for reviews.

A few have gone from the 3-series GT and upgraded to the 6-series GT. It's probably a moot point, for me as I have a 2019 with 35k that I spec'd to my liking and purchased brand new and will probably drive it for at least another few years. It's just depressing there is no longer a vehicle I care for in BMW's lineup. No more GTs, no more wagons, etc. I've been looking at the Porsche Panamera more and more as a possible replacement car - it never hurts to plan even if its years away . It's still out of my price range but perhaps in a few year's time the Panamera Sport Turismo or even an Audi S7/A7 would fit the bill. |

If it was still around and I was ready to make a change the 6GT would have been the one. But I just passed 25k with my 3GT, so I'm not even close to moving on from it.

I see these hybrids on highway in Toronto every day. Late fall to late spring time - all running on back-up gas engine to make up for heating and speed. Apologies for jacking the thread.

I don't mind the 4 bucket seats, I am after the slightly extra interior space the Sport Turismo offers. |

Yes had a 2016 3 series GT which felt a bit basic if I’m honest.
Our 2019 6 series GT feels like a proper luxury premium bmw. Absolutely miles ahead of the 3GT. Also it’s a generation ahead. |

It's all a matter of personal perspective. Kiddies of all ages say that the 3GT isn't a 'real' BMW, because it has such niceties as rear seat legroom, a large trunk, easy access to the trunk, and a smooth comfortable ride. They'd find the refinements of the 6GT repulsive.
