New car, new member - 440i GC

Hi all, just say hi to everyone as I just joined very recently after purchasing a F36 440i in white, only had it a for a month and am simply in love with it!
Had a Toyota Celica for more than a decade, was cool when I was 20 but not so much in my 30’s. It was definitely time for a trade up even though it was still a fun car on track and the road, but there comes a time to grow up ( and have more doors for a family).

My 440 has none of the funky driver aids which helps you drive on a day to day basis , but has the fun toys of Digital dash, adaptive suspension and most importantly- MPPSK (this 150% sold it for me on the test drive)

The modding has already begun and already fitted a genuine CF spoiler, rear diffuser and blacK grills. (Not pictured)

Got a really random question for all you lovely people. Coming from a “JDM” background and a car which used to shout “fast and the furious“. I appear to be getting more road user attention in the 440i than I used to.
Whilst driving normally in my local area of North West London, in the past 24 hours- I had an A3 saloon tail gating me and attempted to overtake me on a normal residential street, only to pull back in and give chase for another mile. Then a 120i with what I assume was a modified exhaust playing the “hear my exhaust” game right behind me. Then a M4 couldn’t wait for me to bugger off so it could also announce “my car and exhaust is faster and louder than yours”

Is this a very normal BMW owners thing to be expecting from other BMW or German branded drivers ?

Also just to say- loving the forums to far- an absolute goldmine of information!

Very nice and nice back drop

Enjoy the car, I'm sure you will...

.....and yes there are some who think they have the best car and want to show it off while others know contentment and don't need to show it off!

Congrats! Mine came with all the mods you mentioned, really changes the look of the car

Yes, I noticed a lot of invitations to race as well. People hear the exhaust and think you must be fun

Welcome aboard. White 440i with MPPSK are aplenty lol.
The attention does seem to be part and parcel of the BMW ownership.
It gets a bit tedious at times lol. I drive a bit like a grandad, so im sure there are some people on Corsa forums saying they smoked a 440i

Thank winther1 and Abzynthe.
I have sufficiently stalked both your previous posts already to make me super jealous of both your cars! This is why forums are both good and bad- Great to get all the knowledge, but absolutely terrible on my wallet with the wants!

Bought a genuine one on ebay from Peter Vardy in Scotland
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203066140...m=203066140523

The seller actually offered it to me for £250 3 weeks ago, of which i took it in a heart beat.
