Anyone has a clear video or link on how to remove the C-pillar? Can’t seem to find a good one.

I’m interested in running the signal wire from the trunk to the roof module and think it would be best running it through the C pillar directly into to roof liner but please let me know if from your experience you would recommend another route.

Nvm…. Figured it out and finlized the retrofit. Big thanks to OP and everyone else with their inputs!

None of the CAFD file options are close to my Istep. I’ve tried a couple, and I get errors when trying to code the REM and FEM modules. No audible chirp on locking, or unlocking the door. Alarm only sounds the horn. I’ve tried getting power to the siren by using an add a tap to a constant fuse (number 161) to eliminate the problem of no power from the fuse added in the OP. I get the quick blinking red light when first arming the system. Any ideas?

To make the alarm sound towards the siren instead of the horn, try this line

If the car hasn't got sunroof, do I need to run can and power wires ? ( car has sos, atm, extended lights package)

You will need just can wires power is not necesery because you have already power and ground

Do I need new wires directly from FEM?

Edit: I think I found fem pins are 49 - CAN-L, 50 - CAN-H.

Yes A173*8B pin 49,50 If not exist new one or just tap it to the exist one

Update: It was a sh|t siren. Had checked all my wiring and it looked good. Ordered another alarm just to check. Plugged in the new siren and it works like a charm!!!

Ok thanks. Pins were occupied, so I've tapped to exiting ones.

FA 302 and FZD became visible. Only now I have to add siren and add another two wires from siren to fzd and from fzd to mirror...

Sorry for reawake a old thread, but i have a EU car wich does not come with a rear view mirror with the red LED in it, but what do i need to watch for to replace it, does it have any camares in it for addaptive headlight or speed sign recognition or anything?

Thanks for the help, wanna add the alarm to my car...
