Bulbs

I need to replace the xenon bulbs in my 3 series (F30).

Current ones are over 6 years old and light output isn't as good as it was. Now I'm not sure whether to fit the below. Any experience of any below would be ideal.

Osram Xenarc Nightbreaker Laser

Osram Xenarc Cool Blue Intense

Philips Xenon X-treme Vision Gen2

Philips Xenon White Vision Gen2

For rainy/foggy environments I'd stay away from the bulbs that emit any blue light. You want to look for a color spectrum around the 4000-4600k mark; so, that means a yellow to maybe white light.

Out of the list you posted, I'd rate them in this order due to their advertised color spectrum;
  1. Osram Xenarc Nightbreaker Laser (4200k)
  2. Philips OE bulbs (yellow box 4300k)
  3. Philips Xenon X-treme Vision Gen2 (green box 4800k)
  4. Philips Xenon White Vision Gen2 (blue box 5000k)
  5. Osram Xenarc Cool Blue Intense (6000k)
In reality, I'd stay away from the CBI's or WVgen2's. I added the Philips OE bulbs because they're cheap and right in the color spectrum you're looking for.

One last thing, watch out.. there's lots of fake "branded" bulbs on the internet (Amazon, eBay, etc) so it pays to buy from a proper retailer.

Thank you for your lengthy reply.

I'd always buy from proper sellers no Amazon or Ebay for these.
