f30 328i Exhaust Recommendation Please
I have a 2015 328i with FBO(vrsf dp, vrsf FMIC, er CP) running BM3 stage 2 agg. I'm looking to upgrade my exhaust for some more improvements in performance. Anyone have any recommendation?

most are going to tell you don't expect any performance gains, its mainly for sound and aesthetics. i would try and find a true catback system. You will see Supersprint, AWE, Magnaflow, Remus and Borla on that list. I'm sure I have forgot a few. Supersprint and AWE and nuts on their prices. Magnaflow is pretty quite which may be good for your setup since you have a DP. Borla will be on the loud side and so will Remus. Are you going quad tip or not? If not go Borla or Magnaflow, if you want quad go Remus or AWE.

Zero performance gain with air intake or exhaust modification. Purely for sound improvement.
A GFB DV+ might be a nice next step for you. |

I'm running VRSF catless DP and M Performance Axle Back and it sounds great IMO. No performance gains to be had from an exhaust though.

Loosening the manifold from the block would make it easier but theres many of us that have done it without doing that. Theres really only 1 bolt that is a pain and there's a bit of a trick to getting it to go in. I suggest you buy one from Mike at XPH to avoid getting a knock off. Normally Im a huge eBay whore but theres soo many fakes out there its not worth the risk. I think I got mine from him for about $130 or so. |

Doesn't drone at all in my experience. What I love about catless + MPE is that it's fairly loud when you're on it, but literally dead quiet when coasting/not hard on the gas.

Did you get your directly from BMW Dealer? I read that some people got it from the Dealer for $799. I checked online and the cheapest I found was $960.

I'll try to dig it up later but it was like 8 months ago. eBay listing may not be live anymore either, but I'll try. In the meantime, here's one for $869 w/ free shipping. https://www.ebay.com/p/BMW%2DM%2DPer...=nc&opts=opick

A bit pricey but Id recommend the AWE Touring Exhaust with Performance Midpipe, I just got the one sided exhaust(not the quad) but its one of the deeper and better sounding n20 exhausts. Also they claim and backup with graphs that their is a small ~10 HP and ~10 Torq gain from using their exhaust, someone more knowledgeable than I can probably comment more on that tho.

MPE hold their value really well so if you buy a new one you can get good $ when you sell it, or find a used one and get pretty much what you paid for it back.
If new your best bet is wait for an eBay coupon then buy from Sun BMW through their eBay store with the coupon. You won't find a better prince on a new one. I have MPE in the wagon and really like it.

I was at a muffler delete before and it was terrible IMO. Sure, it's loud, but lacks a voice. Swapped to the AWE Quad with resonated midpipe and haven't looked back. Sounds really great for a 4 banger. I can't say that it improved performance as I did a ton of upgrades at once, but I'd easily say that the bigger piping and improved flow has helped it to an unknown degree.
