Battery registration

I'm looking to replace my oem battery soon. Looking for someone to help me out to register it to car. Willing to pay or buy beer for helping out. Located in NorCal. Can meet up to get this done.

You can register your new battery on you own with this app/adapter; you can also code other functions with this app/adapter.

How much does the Carly app cost? Adapter is $82 US. I already have Bimmercode and adapter for it.

I too have a WiFi adapter and Bimmercode. I'm crossing my fingers that the developer will add battery registration so when it comes time to replace my battery, I won't have to get a different set up.

Over the weekend I emailed Stephan at Bimmercode. He does not have a release date, but confirmed that he is working on battery registration in a future release. Hopefully, that happens before my battery dies...

If you are replacing with same model battery, only registration is required.

If you are placing battery that has difference amp hour rating or reserve capacity. The car needs to be programmed for the new capacity (example 90AH) THEN it needs to be registered.

You need to get BimmerLink. It’s by the same programmer, and it has battery registration. I just updated my app, and to my surprise, not only does it have battery registration, but everything is in English now as well.

Appears to be iOS only, no Android.
