Yet another scum attack - Carjacking

Getting a bit to common these type of things.

A woman was attacked for her Audi A3 by some car jackers.

They stole the car along with her baby.

Baby recovered later.

I worry every time my wife is out driving.

Especially over the darker months as she finishes work at surgery quite late.

Is she driving the R to work?

Maybe better to buy a cheap run around that's not desirable to thieves just for her to commute back and forth to work. I know you shouldn't have to, but the West Midlands is getting a bit 'into the badlands' with car crime lately

Not quite the same crime, but I think the punishment would work

They truly are absolute scum! It's bad enough if women are involved but a law should be passed if they take the car with a child in it, it's kidnapping & another 10+ years if caught. FFS there are umpteen Police twitter accounts for every local force now, all patting themselves on the back for a TOR, or following an uninsured car at speed (very rarely say if caught!). There is no actual deterrent on the roads anymore..

The link on how to avoid it in the article highlights some methods the cockwombles use.

At moment no as she is not allowed to drive yet, however yes now and then, usually get 208 GTI, soon to be a Honda Civic Sport.

The problem is with most cars stolen for parts, what run around would you go for?

A 6 year old Ford Focus, not a good move as these are targeted.

I have been followed a couple times, however as naturally paranoid I tend to take different routes home and double back occaisionally on roundabouts (see paranoia).

The last lot arrested for car jacking were teens with stun guns attacking women drivers for their cars.

The other thing people need to consider is that like car theft, these gangs will move outwards from Birmingham towards easier rural targets.

I think the main thing would be to tell her to keep the doors locked at all times and not drive the R as that's a targeted car by these scum so greatly increases the chance of an incident.

I like the double back on roundabouts .. you know for sure if they're following you or not then

I simply have no idea how anyone manages to stay on a local news website they are just awful, crashing, freezing up, masses of pop ups like a cheap porn site (so I've heard).

Why are they so bad?
