I used it in my fluid change about 2k miles ago. I will let you know 2k miles ahead of you if it blows up lol
Any problems so far?

Cool. I'm putting it in my rear diff this morning then. Liqui Moly's website recommends their 75w-140 (LM4420) for F3x differential(s), but I couldn't find it for sale anywhere. Based on this thread I went ahead and got 75w-90 (LM2048).

EDIT: Looks like LM4420 is sold in the U.S., however its English part number is LM20042. Liqui Moly recommends this 75w-140 for F3x differentials, however also says that it's really intended for LSDs. Those of us with open diffs should be fine with 75w-90, which is part number LM2048.

i just noticed this today and i'm fucking pissed because i knew i should've checked before warranty ran up, forgot, and now see it's weeping. has anyone had luck just tightening the bolts? it looks like it would be a nightmare to remove the rear cover as it's structural

Oil usually weeps from the shaft seals, not the cover. For me both side seals were replaced soon after the pictures and it has been dry since. I was told there has also been leaking front (pinion) seals but in my case that one was fine.

Mine was done by the indy garage I always use and paid by the company where I bought the car from, I saw the quote it was about $250 parts (two seals and bmw G1 hypoid oil) and $250 labor. Those are his list prices as it was not me paying.
