F30 N55 misfires cold start [help]

Hello guys

So car was stock 68ml 335 f30 2013/06

Upgraded
BMS intake
Chargepipe

MHD stg1
all went smooth

we tried mhd stg2
after that started problems...

1. clutch slipping

I decided to go back to stock and removed MHD

2. car started misfires random cylindres cold start
from seconds to minute and after it goes well

3. we checked spark plugs, changed, chcked injectors coils everything.
there is no errors, battery also good.

there is just misfires when we reading data when i cold start, but now its even doing in each start, even if its hot, like when i start engine and shift 1 and start moving its shaking for few seconds and after it it runs well.

local dealers cant find problem.
can you help please? sorry for bad English )

have you checked for any other codes? do you have the monitoring module to take a log? and you tried the MHD stage 2 map w/o the recommended intercooler or downpipe? not sure if trying the stage 2 map w/o recommended hardware would cause this problem. could be a leaky injector, spark plugs (over torqued or not gapped properly), needing a new battery causes some gremlins, coil packs, MAP sensor, and some people have rough cold starts with aftermarket intakes until unplugging their MAF sensor. seems like you've already tried a couple things.

The symptoms you are describing were happening to me after installing the BMS intake; stuttering/shaking, hesitation in 1st/2nd for a minute or two after a cold start. Try popping it off and putting the stock intake back on and seeing if it changes. Mine was immediately fixed after.

Maybe the MAF was installed incorrectly

Hello friends

*Update*
2013 335i M/T

1. I changed clutch kit with LUK
2. I will try to describe the problem better.
On every cold start, Instantly when I shift 1gear and starting move, its shaking front and back, As I hit gas pedal, it doing misfire, its like making me hit a steering wheel, sorry for my English I cant describe it better. Like its shaking me front and back
It leasts for few seconds, after 20-30sec, its like getting normal and Im moving, while doing this errors are misfire on all cylinders, after 30 sec checking there are no errors.
3. also its showing in ista+ undervoltage sometimes, but never in Bmw check status.

So need help, everything startded after MHD stg2, cant go back

also when car is on, without moving idle, it has a shakings in every few moment

I thought it could be bad clutch, feeling was like that it was not getting in touch with flywheel and i thought thats why its shaking on cold start

This might sound silly but double check the connections at each coil. If you have cylinder two plugged into cylinder one for example it will cause crazy misfires. Go back thru everything with a fine tooth comb, check the wiring, use a little dielectric grease and make sure each coil is secure on the plug, etc. Put the stock tune back on the car and fire it up after you go thru everything.

I’ve had the core of my NGK plugs break loose which was weird and caused major misfires until I replaced. You may need to pull them and look. Sounds like it’s spark related so spend time there. I wouldn’t think this is an MHD problem if it still happens with stock tune.

So, did you check or replace the spark plugs? I had a cold start misfire/stumble but with no error codes or check engine light. Problem went away after installing new spark plugs.

Please help me guys.

I changed clutch kit, flywheel had a little burns but not that much as a master said to replace.
Today I installed new injectors delphi, new coils ngk, in 2days I will have new spark plugs ngk.

But the problem is the same.

We also checked via dashbord voltage it was norm.

We checked battery , its norm.

NO errors or checks in ista

We can catch check only on cold start, giving in first gear taking off my leg from gas, and when I push it instnalty car starts missfires in all cylinders. and car is shaking towards. After 10-20 sec of playing gas and clutch on low rmp its getting normal and after it there is no check or errors. also car works normal, but on every start its doing same.

I removed, mhd , to oem stock , its same

I have seen users on here who go from stock plugs to NGK and have issues. Try the plugs you had before and see if the issue is the same

I had the opposite experience. The OE plugs looked perfect when I pulled them, but they developed a cold start stumble which would only last 10-15 seconds. Eventually that turned in a low RPM miss, which was resolved with swapping to NGK 97506 plugs. I would HIGHLY suggest AGAINST looking for the cheap deal online, too many fake plugs out there. I bought my plugs from a local auto parts store who had them in stock.

New ngk 97506 spark plugs

new delphi injectors
new timing belt
new clutch luk OE

installed today catless downpipe on mhd stg1
Car got good power it wants to run well but i have still the problem

I think its slipping clutch, or flywheel maybe, I think its a problem

Its getting missfires on coldstart first 10-20sec while car is crushing

I dont know what to do...

See bold above? are you talking about two different problems?

Do you have an intake?

Logs?

You can try swapping back to stock intake to see if it helps your cold start/misfire problem.

swapping out your intake is going to be a much easier test/troubleshoot than your flywheel, you can do it yourself with minimal tools and takes maybe 45 minutes. swap it out and test, if it still persists then reset adaptations and check again.

I will say my car runs smoother with stock intake then when I had aftermarket recently when I swapped back.
