London Motor Show
Hi Guys,
Has anyone been to this before? I'm wanting to go to a motor show this year as I've not been to any for quite a number of years. Also what other motor shows happen in the country? Thanks

Classic Car show at the NEC, not really my cup of tea but it was good for a look around.
It's a dwindling thing in the UK unfortunately. It's Paris or the Frankfurt ones in Europe that have the real manufacturer backing.

There was a stunt driving bit that was good but the I was disappointed by what was there. The kids that were there liked it but then they don't frequent car showrooms like we do, so easier to impress |

Been to the London Motor Show a couple of times (got free tickets both times). I wouldn't recommend it and I'd be even more disappointed if I had paid. In fact I enjoyed driving there and around London more than the show itself |

Thanks guys, glad I asked!
I’ll look into the Geneva Motor Show, a couple of friends went a few years ago and said it was good, albeit expensive once there. |

I believe hotels can also be £££ if you need to stay overnight. Although as others have said, depending upon where you are in the UK, there & back in a day should be easy.

I'd be doing a search for a 6am business flight and the last flight back to make it worthwhile. |

I went to the motor show at the NEC about 20 years ago on press day, it was a fantastic day.

Don't do London - utter rubbish.
Spend your hotel money on a place near a UK airport and take the 7am flight. Then come back 6ish. A few of us did this and it worked really well. Food isn't that bad in the event tbh.

A lunchtime flight is usually an aircrafts second flight of the day, a 1 hour delay gets you there for 3, and into the show for half 3 earliest. Delay at passport control, or getting off the plane, maybe even 4pm. Probably need to start thinking about leaving the show for 6. A two hour delay on your outbound flight and you'd be lucky to get an hour in there. Not sure 1-4 hours would be worth all that hassle. |

It's behind the airport in France. I'm looking at flying out on the Saturday and having the whole day Sunday to wander about.

I'm planning to go over to Geneva on the 8th - 10th March. Already sorted flights will be sorting one of the airport hotels this week.
