That is good to know. I agree, their cars have improved over the last few years, but i haven't driven any of them.

I had a 24 hour test drive of the DS7 Crossback before deciding on the X3 M40i. The DS7 was jam packed with mostly pointless tech that I couldn't see myself using. Night-vision was dangerous as you had to take your eyes of the road, the massage seats became painful after a short-while. The lights were cool but the novelty would wear off quickly.

The handling was awful. The car rocked and rolled, side to side but worse still, front-to-back like a see-saw. On a short trip 2 passengers and myself left the car feeling seasick. Seriously.

So far the M40i is living up to expectations.

Like i said, slightly confusing.
I still can’t get the M40d or M40i! It’s really messed up!
The UK configuration seems to have been offline for quite a few days. I could not access almost anything.

If anyone is buying a used approved almost new X3 40d, on BMW's finance packages, surely it would be cheaper to buy brand new with the discounts available and the cheaper 4.9% finance available rather than the 12.4% they charge for a car with delivery miles on their Approved used scheme.
The theory is you can get new car finance on a pre reg / almost new car... think there is a rule on age but worth asking...
6 months. Had this in 2 cars, Pre Reg price should be good for New car APR

Win!

Just be aware you are due the 1st year road tax on a pre reg but the saving should be so much you won't care.

I know how to do it now, you need to select the normal X3, not xline or m sport, then in the engine selction you can choose M40d/i.

Interesting to see the finance contribution on the 40d is now £2500 and with dealer contribution a £10k discount is realistic.

My local dealer has invited me to their Golden ticket event this weekend but they are only talking about £4K dealer contribution in addition to £2.5k - think I will cancel.

I think you might find that GFV has gone down though, so deals won’t be any cheaper than last quarter.

Yeah because if you're anything like me you'll come back home with a car that you may regret buying!

Is that £2500 contribution with all dealers or just selected dealers Steve?

I assume it is all main dealers but it is model dependent according to the TRL bimmerdeals post linked to above.

I think this only applies to stock cars already built that BMW are trying to shift before the new 19 plates are registered. Probably trying to meet or beat previous targets.

For almost every BMW model line for me (looking via MS EDGE browser or switching back to Explorer) the configurator fails and has done for over a week. Bizarre!

I can see limited things on the mobile but this pretty odd.

Bizarrely, there is still no configurator at all for the X5. Yet, they have managed to get a limited configurator up for the X7 which was announced much later.

Just cancelled as no doubt full on pressure until I pay a deposit and sign on the dotted line

There are bound to be good deals in February too
