Phantom check engine light after coding
Hi guys, pretty interested in hearing some coders opinions on this.
I recently bought a 15' F36 with 77k on it and its a beaut. I did some basic coding of the usual stuff in Kombi, Fembody etc. A few days later I got a check engine light but no errors in idrive which I thought was odd. I also thought it was odd that the check engine light came later after the coding. Anyway, I used Tool32 to clear it thinking it was just a coding triggered error and that worked a charm. 2 days later the light came back so I decided to run tool32 to read the errors. It comes back clear with no errors. I've cleared the light again in hope it goes away for good. Has anyone experienced this? I bought an extended warranty for engine and drivetrain so I can always get it looked at if I think it's a genuine issue. The car is performing great even with the engine light. Thoughts?? Cheers guys! |
