People on VWvortex claim it is 130 but that is a load of crap imo because on the way down to my parents house I foolishly took it to 147mph and didn't even know it! This thing has a smooth ride, its no bimmer but smooth none the less. Maybe the 07 GTI has a higher limiter than the 06. I dunno. I'll post more pics as soon as I find my camera lol.

that's BS, my cuzns made it to 153 once!!! and thier car had 3 passengers and was loaded with luggage!

that car performance is amaaaazing for a 2.0L 200hp car!

I believe it this car can fly especially with a DSG transmission which I passed on, but my Fiance bought a GTI the very next day because she liked mine so much! She got the DSG and all I can say is that is the coolest gearbox I have ever experienced and it is easier to achieve higher speeds using the sport mode it has.

Yeah no jolt when running over an insect unlike RFT's.

Are RFT's really that bad? I hear all of the complaints on here about em and I can't understand what is so harsh. Of course I've never really experienced a smooth riding car beyond my GTI so maybe I need to ride in a 7 series and then ride on one in RFT's to understand, who knows
