I don't disagree with any of you, and I would like to wear it but I had it valued for home insurance purposes a couple of years back, and nearly fell off my chair when I was told how much it was worth.
I do tend to wear it when I go to blacktie events or if I go somewhere that I deem affluent, no way I would wear it daily.

Some lovely looking watches on here.

So it's a bitza up for 55K! Not good, I guess you've got to know your stuff when dealing in rare watches a bit like paintings.

At the moment, I am wearing my cheap Claiborne CLM1076 but that because it's Friday and I am sitting at work in jeans!! Usually I wear one of my many "poor mans Rolex" Invicta watches! I love that brand! I know it's not the most expensive but it works for me!!! Oh and I am looking to get a Tag this holiday season, just to see how I like them!!

Another one for the Breitling Aerospace Evo. Simple, functional and stunningly accurate.

Worn cheapos for years and oggled this at every airport. Finally bit the bullet, no ragrets!

I took quite a while to decide between the BLNR and the Hulk. I think they're both great watches

GMT Master IIc as my daily beater. I'll be getting a Ceramic Daytona for Sundays... Once the prices come down a bit.

Planet Ocean is my daily wearer.

Also have a Suunto Terra Elementum and a Tom Tom HR GPS watch for fell-running.

Been lining up my second proper watch. Torn between vintage (5512 Sub, pre-Moon Speedy, mkIII Speedy), or new: rattrapante Speedy, PO Good Planet, GMT II, or a nice dress watch from some 'lesser' brands (e.g. B&M Clifton Calendar).

But then, having never been a fan of AP Royal Oaks, I saw a Royal Oak ss chrono in the flesh...I might get saving!

This is mine. It's 1972 Day Date. Should have a President bracelet but my dad sold it early 90s (don't ask!) and got a leather strap.

It's my daily wearer, hence the scratches

I gave my Submariner to my son for his 21st, who keeps it immaculate!

Very similar to mine. I have the Day Date Oyster with Jubilee bracelet.

My dad bought it in 1965 when serving in Hong Kong and gave it to me on my 16th. One of my most treasured possessions

I still have the wooden box and cardboard outer box. A proper antique.

Lovely, but only half way to being an antique then

On another note, my Steinhart Ocean One Vintage Military arrived today. Absolutely love it and a bargain for what it is...

As someone who lives in Switzerland (not far from IWC, had a great day touring their facilities a few years back) I have an Oceanus, by Casio.

Picked it up in Tokyo over 6 years ago. Daily watch. Solar - no batteries. Titanium case - no scratches. Time-synced to 6 transmitters around the world, updates every day - no setting of the time (although took downloading of an English manual to work out how to change time-zones when I passed through Heathrow on the way back from Japan : as no crown wheel). Latest versions of the Oceanus now have GPS, so do that automatically.

Still looks like new, has ran faultlessly, no batteries needed. Great left-field techy alternative to the established Swiss watches. Though I still waver over a good IWC ....

D.

Wow that is good! It's basically a Carrera version of the Monaco V4, but at less than 1/10th the price!
