4 Months Old - Trying to sell *HELP*

Hi everyone -

I have a 2019 430i Gran Coupe xdrive and I am selling. Does anyone have any pointers of where to list for sale? I live in WV and the market for more luxury cars is hard to find. I appreciate all and any pointers. Also, any interest!

The nearest luxury market is Northern Virgina / DC / Maryland. Good luck with the sale!

List it online at Cars.com, Autotrader, etc. You can also try online trade in services like Carvana and Vroom. Or just go to the nearest CarMax.

+1 on CarMax...

Literally drove in there with my old car and drove out in the F30, about 4 hours later.

Really didnt even plan on doing that, just kinda happened. Hopefully that doesn't mean I got ripped off

Forreal tho, they have it down to an absolute science on both sides of the table. On the purchase side, my salesman told me he gets the exact same amount of commission regardless of what price vehicle I chose. We looked at everything high and low before deciding on the Bimmer. Very low pressure situation.

On the vehicle sales side... of course, I thought their offer was about $1,000 low. Thats part of the value of the convenience aspect.

If you want the car gone, bring it to CarMax and it will be gone. They will offer you something VERY competitive with the national market. Very competitive.

If you want to squeeze literally every penny out of it... list it on the web and be prepared to wait a while. Also be prepared to field calls from people and potential tire kickers. All shit I was not interested in doing.

I take CarMax/Vroom/AuctionDirect (local) with a grain of salt. You'll probably get a better trade value if you are also buying a car from them, so that that into account. I've taken 5 vehicles to Auction Direct/Car Max to get the "We'll buy your car now" price and have been shocked at the low numbers they gave me.

For Example: One car they offered me $3500 for, saying that was the best they could do and that was the best I would get. I sold it a week later for almost twice that Private Party. I took my 1998 Z3 there when it had 67k on it and they offered me $2300 for it. No Joke. I basically use them now as the "This is the lowest I could get for my car" price.

However, if you have a price in mind, and they meet that price, then by all means give it a whirl. I have heard many people who are happy with the results, as the previous poster seems to be. Most of them also bought a car, and took in newer vehicles than mine, which might make them more desirable.

I would try Autotrader or cars.com. We sold one car on Autotrader and the couple who bought it drove 2.5 hours to pick it up.
