Im starting to have some fueling concerns with my PS2 and might just bite the bullet and purchase the XDI-35 pump for peace of mind....and better performance lol
Good eye... timing and knock resistance is much better with a little ethanol mixed in. No updated logs, I'll try and grab some on a cooler night.

JB4 ( ) for me is the best way to go
After all the expensive hardware upgrades, I rather spend money for a tune done right

Jb4 is okay, it makes the cars run inconsistent. I have nothing against them and I ran JB4 for nearly 2 years. My experience with JB4 was the car was not as smooth and ran inconsistent. Plus they are known the fry and cause electrical shorts. My car runs much better without it once I removed it. Could I pick up more power and use as a boost controller with it? Maybe. But that's not a big enough reason to put it back in for me.

Sharing a datalog of a 93 PUMP GAS on 21 psi. ~90 degree temps.

http://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=5d465fe0c090c66f5cf2a0a1

Pump can take it, but 17-19psi seems to be the limit on 93 for octane. Could be very interesting to see a dyno with 21psi vs 18psi on same 93. I wonder if you gain much on those 3psi due to timing impact. Awesome stance

Updated original post.

Finally got a chance to hit the rollers again! 528 whp and 570 wtrq

Again this is with PS2 Turbo, FBO, XDI-35 HPFP, custom tune + supporting mods.

Runs were all consistent with and awesome power curve as well. Car is running FLASH ONLY and 93oct/boostane for these runs. Car is certainly a blast to drive!

93 octane plus boostane?
18 psi or 21?

Really appreciate you posting. I'm about to do something similar. Just waiting to see if there is going to be another HPFP option.

This was 21 psi. 93 plus boostane on these pulls.

If your car run inconsistent you most have a diferent problems.
I had over 20 paseses between 10.6 and 10.7 day, night, different tires, etc.
Also in M3 S55 full weight 10.11@140.5mph over 20 passes running with JB4 in 10.1 and 10.2 range.
Maybe you need understand how JB4 operates... but anyways use whatever you fell is better for you.

Like I said my setup runs terrific on my current setup... without the JB4. I don't really need it, so why add another thing that is prone to fail? I appreciate what you have done with all your test cars, but that doesnt mean if someone does something different you should bash them. For the record, my jb4 was installed correctly and I know how to configure it. If you read my original reply that you quoted too, that reason alone is why i dont want to run it.

I've been pretty lucky with my stock HPFP. Targeting 18 pounds of boost at the moment with a custom BM3 tune.

Hey bud thanks for pointing that out. I'm still learning about timings and how they relate to all aspects of the engine. Can you go into a little more detail as to why you believe the fuel pump will crash? How do I counter? Back off boost, better fuel?

that 4.5 is alos taken on 1 point . check if its the same across the rpm band .
but in short , more timing could yield more power , power comes out of burning more fuel .

Thanks! I sent a message over to Carey (my tuner) to see what he thinks. Much appreciated.

Which tuner at BM3 platform provide you with the custom map?

How many custom map did they make for you and how much does it cost per custom map?

So i just realize BM3 maps S2 and S2H has drop down menu to opt for XDI-35. Do you think it's worth the extra bucks to buy custom map or will S2/S2H will do just fine?

Yea it was in good condition and I didn't want to loud chatter with a single mass flywheel. Personal opinion. Worked out fine for me, would do it again.
