Heads up for cheap pads

I've had my eye on a set of DS2500 (FCP4611H) pads for the old girl and the cheapest I could find was wg_motorparts at £130.49

Well, until Midnight on the 28th eBay are offering 20% discount (use code PAID20) on selected stores and guess who's one of em?

So.......set of DS2500 for less than £105? That'll do nicely, ta

I'm sure someone will come along shortly with another bargain due to this discount to relieve me of more money

/Edit - the offer is on again, but the price has gone up to £155 before discount (new code is POCKET20). There are plenty of other deals to be had and these are still the cheapest DS2500's at the mo though

personally I would only buy brake components from bona fide reputable outlets , ie autodoc .
there are too many counterfeit parts on eBay to be fully confident you are getting what you think you are buying .
I have used mintex pads from well known and trusted suppliers on a variety of vehicles for decades and never had a problem .
brakes are paramount so don't skimp to save a few quid , I see it as gambling with your life .
I had a close shave years ago in a hi po car using cheap moprod pads , it scared the shit out of me !!

I have seen so called good quality brake pads like Green Stuff on fire after a bit of spirited driving so what cheap crap probably counterfeit pads will do to help you stop is anyone guess!

Interesting comments......DS2500's aren't cheap/crap pads and I've done my research with the supplier, who is well regarded.

You can lead a horse to water etc etc. Each to their own

The "Stuff Pads" are trash, dont think anyone thinks they are good.
DS2500's are good, hard hard driving causes pad transfer to the disks tho worth noting, for road they will be more than fine! Good bite from cold and will out perform OEM

If you get a chance give Hawk 5.0 pads a try. They are the best street pads that I have found. I noticed that AmazonUK is selling them now. See photo for some F30 part numbers for 340mm/370mm front pads and 330mm or 345mm rear pads.

Had DS2500's on 3 previous cars, they certainly are a vast improvement over the standard OEM's - Good price that is for genuine Ferodo's!

Will have to let you know. Didn't have any squeal when I've had them before but that wasn't in a BMW though.

Apparently they are now on a 2 week delivery time from the OP’s supplier, due to the success of the eBay discount !!

The eBay discount thing is on again, use code POCKET20 to get 20% off - The base price has gone from £131 to £155 in the interim 6 months though! Basically they've put the price up 20% before the 20% discount!

Still cheapest you'll find them, but not the same bargain. I'm glad I don't need any this time.
