It wouldn't connect and after reinstalling the app it's now saying my vehicle isn't supported. Dev definitely has some work to do.

The new update V2.1.13 fixed the connection problems for me, and I was able to connect my car, update the xdrive ecu and turn it off.

RWD now

Are you on Android? I'm on version 1.3 on iOS and don't see any updates yet.

Well right on - how's it feel?

And how much does x-delete cost?

Question is how much of that is managed to be transferred to the road in a 2 driving wheels setup and whether you would still not be better off with less WHP but more transferred into acceleration. That's probably very situation-dependent.
If you could hypothetically do FWD only, I'd expect even less losses / higher WHP, but the traction in real life would be even worse.

One thing is certain - 0-100 is always faster with AWD.

I think people tend to go to a goat for wool, when discussing the advantages of RWD over XDrive (from an XDelete point of view)...

The answer is all given in the very first sentence of XDelete's Manual: "BMW’s with xDrive are great vehicles, except when it comes to having fun with your car."

That says it all, IMO.
If fun means improved handling then I believe this is marketing BS. xDrive cars inherently suffer from a higher C of G, soft suspension and greater weight. Unless the car has the adaptive suspension the handling will suffer due to these. Nothing this app does changes nature.

I'm running H&R springs and it really made the car feel planted, obviously not as much as when I get BC's but still. Being RWD will improve the handling...

New update worked for me too, everything worked great. It cost $150 for the license and maybe $20 for the adapter you need.

As far as feel, steering feels mildly different and I would say my car feels a tad more sporty. Around tight corners where I would normally have Xdrive kick in and save me, I now have the back end kick out a bit more. Can be scary so I wouldn't Nothing extreme at all, but definitely different and takes getting used to.

When using Launch Control I get wheel spin now. The wheel spin is loud as hell and you launch a bit slower than with AWD I would say. The main difference is how the power feels applied. Before I felt like I moved with the car, now I feel like I'm sinking into my seat when I accelerate hard. It feels nice tbh. It's more of a push than a pull.

Overall for $150 I would say it's fair. No extreme changes but it does add a different aspect to the car, and is not really expensive at all imo.

On the app description it says it's still working on the F30 platform.

So it's not working on all F30's. Not sure what the latter post meant.

I guess you need to have a bookface account to get in touch with these guys. Seems to be a lot of "not working" posts outside of bookface.

Well first thing I can say is the steering change is quite noticeable, I do some track every summer so I could definitely tell the steering is much lighter, and turn in is much better, I actually have more fun now.

Obviously launching and 1/4 mile times suffer due to the RWD ( we have to wait until xDelete comes out with the sport AWD which makes it 20/80 split and Snow mod)

I've noticed also a good improvement in gas mileage as well.

Quite honestly, I would use RWD mode for track sessions, 1/2 mile runs, and just daily all around in the summer.

If you're looking for 1/4 mile or such, I would stick with normal xDrive, or Sport xDrive when they release it. Sport xDrive would be good for the track as well as it would help with turn in and reduce understeer.

I paid 200$ CAD for it, it's 149$ USD

Handling is much better with xDelete, turn in and overall steering feel is great.

Their other two modes (snow mode and sport xdrive) are in beta and will probably be released in the next month or two.

For those of you who have an iOS platform. What cables/WiFi dongles are you using that’s giving you success with the xDelete flash?

Would be nice to know which setup is working before ordering them.

Thanks

ENBIA RJ45 Ethernet LAN Network Adapter for Phone Pad, Phone Ethernet Adapter, 3.3ft/1m Cable, 10/100Mbps High Speed,Plug and Play https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SYH7PMW..._b3-HDbNCE6GD0

Worked perfectly, you still need an OBD/Ethernet as this is just the adapter.

I got an answer from xdelete when sport awd and snow mode is coming, and so far it's not looking good, apparently the xdrive in the F series is weaker than e series so I wouldn't expect too much.
