Alloy width and tyre size help
Hi All
I have tried to get my head round all the numbers but I still cant! I am being given some alloys from a friend who had them on his 1 series a few years ago. They are 3SDM 0.05 I have bmw 2012 328i The alloys are 18x9.5 +40 To add to the issues they have a 20mm hub adapters on them as they are originally 5x112. I am guessing they are going to stick out and without stretched tyres they will rub? Can anyone confirm if they will fit and what tyres they would need? |

with 19x9.5 ET20(ET40-20mm spacer=ET20)as you suspect it will poke a lot. you'll have to run stretched tires, lower your car a lot and add negative camber to alleviate the front tire rubbing the front fenderwell liner while turning and if you want it to look good.
im not informed nor a fan of slammed/stanced, stretched tires, large hub adapter/spacers and recommend you consider reposting your question here for informed replies... https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=909786 personally, i'd rather get wheels and tires of proper bolt pattern, widths, offsets and tire sizes that are meant for our cars and tell your friend to give the wheels to someone with a G-series(5x112) and sell the hub adapters or use it as a paper weight. |
