As mentioned - the sport display is your one and only hint (apart from the extra sound effects and improved 0-100 times, obviously), although not a 100% guarantee.
That sticker is very important... it gives you that extra +5hp!

Don't forget the torque gain too.

I just returned from Sterling BMW and I absolutely do not regret getting the MPPSK at all. The sound is absolutely insane, and I can't wait to take the car out tomorrow. I'm definitely glad I decided to go this route because having valve control is a must. It would just be way too obnoxious when in a residential area. They didn't apply the stickers though, just gave it to me in a bag lol, so I'm missing that extra 5 hp/5 tq

I highly recommend Sterling if you're in the Socal area. I got a couple of other parts as well and they gave me a slight discount. If you want a quote for something, contact Gator Bryson and he'll be able to hook you up.

Hey sorry to revive this thread, but does anyone know if there is an alternative to the M Performance Carbon Fiber exhaust tips? I see the knockoff ebay ones but they seem to install via a hose clamp and it looks like the OEM carbon tips are just kinda pushed on and tightened down with a hex bolt?

Does anyone know what kind of diameter I need to be looking for if I go the ebay route?

1st of all, OP, great username. Next, I'm too late but gonna post anyway, for posterity. I am also in the S. Bay, and also just bought a CPO 340i. I bought CPO because it reassures me as to the condition of the car at purchase, but at the end of the day I bought a tuner car. I wanted a solid foundation, not the tail end of a warranty.

I'm starting with BM3 and a downpipe, and if anything goes wrong I'll cross my fingers and hope the dealer doesn't blame the mods. Even if they do, if the fix costs less than, what, 3k?, I still got a better tune at a lower cost.

I just got a set of Ebay knockoffs but I haven't installed them yet. The MPE diameter is 67mm so thats the inlet diameter you should be looking for on the tips.

Glad to hear someone in SoCal got a good deal on their MPPSK purchase and install - this is exactly what I was looking for! I am also interested in buying this and having it installed since my lease ends in two months and I am likely going to purchase the car, but I do not want to pay $3k+ the kit. I think I'll reach out to Gator and hopefully he can help!

Recently got mine from bmwparts for 3k and got it installed for $900. Tbh I feel it was worth it. I get to keep my warranty and feels really good that I don't feel like I need more power. (For now)
