EWG N55 TMAP / MAP Patch Adapter For PI or Meth

Here's a quick tutorial on how I modified Burger Motor Sports N54 Patch adapter for my EWG N55.

I'm using this setup for PI, but the same connections can be used for Meth or other fueling controllers. I chose to use the manifold MAP sensor for my PI for actual manifold pressure, and to avoid false boost spikes due to throttle closure.

The yellow wires on the TMAP/MAP on the chargepipe or intake manifold are the positive signal wire (Vin1 on AIC2-V/P).

The signal ground wire on the charepipe is the black and yellow wire on the opposite end of the connector.

The singal ground wire on the intake manitold MAP is the black and blue wire at the opposite end of the connector.

I purchased the following patch adapters from BMS and modified them via the video attached to allow a correct fit to my EWG harness
.
https://burgertuning.com/products/jb...r-tmap-adapter

The patch adapters need to be trimmed for length, and repinned from 1234 to 4321 (flip them 180 degrees) for EWG. The wires should be a straight pass through as the OEM connectors are a direct fit. The patch adapter is only being used to tap into the wires, so the oem harness doesn't have to be mangled.

Also, you can see in the pictures that I used a small width long length zip tie to secure the patch adapter to the oem harness.

Thank you so much for making this video. I'm installing a meth kit and just realized the patch BMS sells isn't plug and play for EWG cars. This was a lifesaver!

I do have a question, I'm a little confused about how to rewire the connector. As it is now it's 1:1, if I reverse them wouldn't there be a twist in the harness(which I don't see in your installed photos)? Or am I missing something?

Edit; I figured it out... you want to flip the connector 180 but leave the wires in the same order so it doesn't twist when you plug it in. I should've looked at the car first 😂

Right on. I use a similar shaved down housing method with this harness extension originally meant for a C4 Corvette O2 sensor. No re-pinning required. I think any LS1 flat 4-pin O2 extension harness would do the trick. I've seen them as cheap as $15.

Hey Natek, happy to hear the video was helpful! Yeah basically you just need to swap pins 1 and 4. I used a volt meter and tested direct pass thru (with ewg cars the stock connectors are in the correct position, with pwg they are not).

Sorry for the delay, been away buried with work.
