Text message not displaying name of person who texts

I have a 2015 435i. I can receive text messages but it does not display the name of the person texting me. It only shows the phone number. Unless I have the phone number memorized I have no idea who is texting me.

I don’t think this is a iPhone issue because when someone calls my HUD displays the name of the person who is calling. When I look at my address book it also shows the names.

Someone can call me and their name will show. That same person can text me and only their phone number will show. Anyone know how to fix this? It’s been like this for a good year or more so I don’t think it has anything to do with IOS.

And yes I have tried multiple times to disconnect and reconnect. I have also check all the settings on my phone and don’t see any setting that is wrong. I have iPhone 12.

I have the same problem now which has been an issue with two different phones. Did you ever find a solution?

I will try to check. I get the name on my 340's car play. It is funny that you want that. I had an argument with someone that they didn't want that in case they were in the car with someone who should not see that someone texted. I didn't ask why, but now had a suspicion of funny business.

I have not found a solution. In fact now I don't get text messages at all to show on my HUD.
