F34, 3 Series GT hatch issues

Longtime lurker, I have a 2014 GT with hatch opening issues.
The usual buttons produce a click, but do not open the hatch. When I do get it open it will actuate the lock so that I cannot close it without pulling the emergency release to open the lock. I suspect the control module. I connected it to my Foxwell 510 and did not turn up codes except 80484C. I did try to reset of the module but the reset failed. It just sits there saying reset in progress, but never completes. Can anyone here tell me where the module is?

Thanks

Thanks Fitz

Thanks, this is exactly what I suspected. Now I need to find that module, but I think it is in the rear passenger side of the trunk, thanks again .

It may be in the vicinity of the battery. Use realoem.com to look up the part, so you can see what it looks like.

Module found

Thanks again Fitz, If this helps anyone in the future when they search:

The module is in the right rear trunk behind a trim panel and immediately above the battery area. I believe the current part number to be 61357410615 which has superseded the original part number.

It's 61357410612. They're around $300, so you want to be sure the old one is toast before buying a new one.
