E39 M5 + CS = wow

hopefully not a repost but this car is absolutely beautiful. A match between one of BMWs greatest designs with one of their greatest chassis.

Holy hell, that is fantastic. The only thing that would be cooler is an E9x with an S65.

I'm guessing you meant to drop the "x" on that. Unless you really think that all E9x M3's are cooler than this.

Good read OP.

No, the car above is an E39 with an E21 body stuck on top. I was saying that a lighter, stiffer and newer E9x M3 with the same E21 body glued on top would be even better.

Oh, gotcha. The body is an E9, not an E21, unless I am totally missing something, so I was a little confused about what you were trying to say.

Ha, sorry, I get a little fuzzy on the E codes of things that are older than me. Now I get your confusion. I should be able to keep the CSL and the first 3er apart though.

I still think this is great, it would be fun to own this car and the 850CSI/Volga:

Throw in a Singer 911 while we're at it.

Wow! What a genuinely interesting and beautiful thing! I usually do *not* go for this type of project, but I *love* this one!

Fuuuuuuuuc..... That looks so good it hurts to soke it all in. The E9 just oozes style and on a modern chassis and power train it takes the whole package to the next level. Awesome project!!

I NEVER thought I would say this, but..

Those tires could really use a minor stretch

(to the BMW God, my BMW enthusiast father and the holy E30 M3, please forgive me for I have sinned)
