I am pretty impressed by the sound of the stock exhaust of the 335, how different does the M exhaust sound from the stock 335 exhaust?

Let's ask Bananachipz for a video?

The last time I heard his exhaust, it sounded pretty cool!

I saw EBII in person today at Budds. It's a chick colour fellas, total chick colour.

AW is the way to go as far as I'm concerned.. And after some contemplation during the boring wedding I'm at right now, I'm starting to wonder if the M sport package might be a little poserish.

I saw a Xdrive M Sport today, first time that I have seen one in the flesh.
Yes, the additional wheel gap on the Xdrive in noticeable.
That extra wheel gap, an additional 125 lbs over the front end, RWD superior steering feel, RWD better fuel economy, RWD decreased turning radius and a purchase price of $2500 less than Xdrive convinced me to order a RWD M Sport.

Contrary to what I was led to believe, that the Canadian version of the M Sport would look the same as the Euro one, I was shocked to see that the front end of the Canadian M Sport looks identical to the American version. :
the fog lights are missing and the grills have 11 slats instead of eight.

What were they thinking @ BMW Canada ??? There is no excuse for deleting fog lights on a $60,000 car for the Canadian market and for Canadian winter weather !!!!

Apart from this significant disappointment, I was impressed with the M Sport styling; it looks even better in the flesh than in photos and it is definitely an even better looking car than the Sportline. The M Sport steering wheel looks simply stunning and the soft feel is exquisite. It feels so good, I didn't want to let go of it ! Bravo to the designer of this steering wheel !!!

I don't think I've ever turned on my fog lights for its intended purpose in 20 years of driving.

AW is the way to go!

However, TBH I saw an Estoril Blue M Sport at today's meet and I was impressed by how dark the colour really is in real life when compared to photos. I liked it.

However I still feel an M Sport in AW would look totally awesome and something I would have done had I waited a bit...

After driving Bananachipz 335i today, I've decided to get the M Performance Exhaust coupled with the JB tune ASAP! This combination is a must have for any 335i. Can't wait to get it...

But is a M sport package that gives no substantive performance upgrades a legitimate ///M product or just a money grab to make a car look like something it's not?

Nice too know about the gap, and well said about the xdrive. I'm becoming more and more confident I made the right call on that in not getting it. As for the fog lights, I suppose it is a personal preference but I think the Msport looks much better without them.

Yeah that M Sport steering wheel is pretty sweet. One of the nicer leather wheels I have felt. The new ones in the C-class are great too. This M sport steering wheel was almost like it had 1/2cm of like memory foam or something under the leather.

As for the wheel gap with X drive....I thought a sport/luxury line 335i RWD would have the same amount of gap as a Xdrive 335i....no?

A Sportline RWD with M Sport suspension would have the same wheel gap as the 335i M Sport RWD. M Sport suspension lowers the gap by 10mm. M Sport suspension is not available with the M Sport Xdrive in Canada.

Two reasons why your statement is not entirely accurate :

1. The M Sport package comes with staggered summer performance tires, rather than the square all seasons on the Sportline. These upgraded tires, with 255/40R18 on the rear, provide substantially better traction, better braking and better steering feel than all seasons.
The replacement cost of the summer performance tires alone would exceed $1600. The 18" M Sport alloy wheels are also lighter and wider on the rear than the Style 397 alloys.

2. In addition, with the M Sport package, adaptive M suspension is available as an option - not available with Sportline.

+ w/ M Sport Brakes Option, rear brakes are larger than base stock 335 for Canada.

No need to hate on BMW for doing this however ... they have to move w/ market demand. Lexus is doing this w/ their "F Sport", MB w/ their "AMG Package", and Audi's "S" (although there is actually an engine difference there), etc...

Does the M-Sport have additional cooling as well? I.e. where the fog lights "should" go? On the non-M-Sports there's only the unit on passenger side. On the M-Sport its both.

Here's a thought - do you think there will be various levels/versions of the power package, and the M-Sport will have more gains due to the increased cooling?

Hi All,

I read this entire thread and it seems like a great deal is $500 to $1000 over invoice.

Just wondering anyone has been able to get that type of a deal and have the dealer wave this miscellaneous fees:

1) Admin Fees ($300)
2) Global Registration program ($300)
3) Other dealer options ($80)

Seems like a bit of a scam.

Just picked up my 2013 335 xdrive today. I went for a bone stock non optioned car and not sure if I will regret not getting the premium package with navigation, backup camera, harmon kardon, and comfort access. Everything seems great so far, this will be my first automatic in 20 years but so far it seems like it will be a smooth transition to the 8 speed auto with paddle shifters...

^^^ Is your iDrive controller different? Looks like a touchpad?

BTW, congrats on such a beautiful car!

Thanks Maz....no touchpad, just the basic Idrive controller without the Nav button that you have with yours.

So far I am loving the saddle brown that you had recommended, it is much nicer and warmer than the previous austere black interior that I had
