rear kids seats

Hi, has anyone else found the rear seat belt points a real pain in the ass due cold seats? My 7 year old has at the point where she could be trusted to clip in her own seat belt, however due to the positioning of the seat buckles in the f30, and the sloping bolsters, her child seat slips on top of the buckle point. I end up having to shove the cold seat and her across and clipping it in myself. My 4 year old has an isofix britax which at least doesn't slip around, however once again the bloody isofix points position means you can't easily access the seat belt point.
Has anyone else found a good solution? I'm a bit concerned that in an accident, she wouldn't be able to get her self out of the seat belt.

Hi,

I have the exact same problem with my F36, I have 2 Graco booster seats that are too wide for the sunken rear seats. Apparently there are narrow booster seats you can buy, but since the laws changed the availability of booster seats and getting worse.

Apparently one called Pampero is a great fit for cars with bucket type seats.

If I am reading this correctly you are having a problem with the latch at the seat cushion as is is too far down in the cushion. They do sell devices that help but what I have done is shove a bunch of cardboard below the latch in the hole so that it cannot go back down and effectively sits above the seat a couple inches. My son is able to reach down and un-buckle himself.

That's exactly the problem. I have the graco full back booster seat, and it slides on top of the latch. The idea of stuffing cardboard under would help a little, but fundamentally it won't fix the issue. I did try buying a seat belt extension from ebay, but the deal latch won't lock into the buckle.

Worth every penny in terms of reduced blood pressure and time saved every child car journey. My 4 year old can now buckle himself in and out instead of me having to lean right across fumbling and trying not to swear at the buried hidden belt buckle. My problem was more just the buckle sitting too low and sliding away at an angle but the rubber block sits up and wedges in so may stop your seat sliding across?

Same issue in my f30, haven't found one that's narrow enough to not semi cover the button latch. MY son (7 YO) knows how to slide the seat over to buckle in but yea, the situation is not ideal.

Interestingly the extender I got works on the front passenger seat, just not the rear near side.. Which ones did you get?

This is why I buy ones with Isofix mounting too. Doesn’t move around at all then. We have a Recaro Monza Nova 2 and Britax Kidfix 2 XP SICT...
