F31 Sport Wagon...or X1?
Season's greetings everyone. Looking to add another BMW to the garage, but undecided on the direction to start with...
1) 2015 X1 xDrive 335i M Sport (300 hp 300 ft lb twin turbo 6) OR 2) 2015 328i Sport Wagon M Sport (240 hp 255 ft lb turbo 4) This will be more of a family car with light modification. Sample build photos are below, along with my current E90 335i Performance. Comments are welcomed...thanks!

Very nice E90. I say go with the F30 wagon. It may not have the performance of the X1 35i, but I'd say it looks better and should provide more room than the X1.

If you need the room go with the wagon or else I would take the X1 with 300BHP shorter wheel base handle much better that wagon.

I hear you...stepping down from my current platform in terms of power worries me a little, especially considering my E90 also has the BMW Performance software, BMW Performance exhaust and a host of other items which give it an exceptional feel. I've read good things about the new N20 engine but I just don't know...

Thought about that, but from what I've read about it (be it, a small amount) I'm not convinced I will like it...

Go with the wagon unless you really want MPPK/MPE. I'm going to throw the Dinan tune on my N20 come Spring, so I won't miss the N55 performance *too* much. Otherwise, the wagon is lower slung, handles like the sedan, and looks far better than whatever the X1 is...crossover? Wagon with a lift? I don't know...

Despite the lesser power, i would still go with the wagon.
Personally the current generation X1 is not that handsome. Yes with 300hp, it would be a fun car, but practucally useless, and too poweful for you significant other... If she really want an SUV, wait for the next X1, ti looks promising. . |

Go with the wagon, or at least do a very long test with the X1 before purchasing.
Had a brand new X1 2.8i when it came out, and sold it after 7 months. Hated it (but then didn't like the engine too much either, so on both your choices I'd have an issue). As for the new X1, isn't BMW looking to have those as 4WD, FWD ?

My vote is for the F31... modded wagons are (and functional)
