F36 xDrive w/ M Adaptive - Dinan or Eibach?
Hi guys. I've been reading up on the best method to lower my LCI 440i xDrive w/ M Adaptive suspension. I'm coming from an F32 xDrive w/ H&R springs and the ride was absolutely terrible. It looked and handled great but the ride was very rough, and I'm trying not to make that same mistake again.
I'm seeing a lot of opinions regarding the Eibach and Dinan springs. To maintain the best ride, which of these would be the better option? Ideally, I'd like to keep everything else stock but if bump stops are an absolute must, I can add those in as well. The end result would be some spacers for the stock 442M wheels and to narrow the wheel gap, while not compromising on the ride quality. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Unnecessary post of previous F32 (miss my baby) |

I too have been looking to lower my 440ix GC. There are several good threads here and seems like a few who have taken the expert rolls.
After going through all the info and opinions I ordered a set of Eibachs (E10-20-031-05-22) and F80 M3 bump stops. Shout-out to Johnung and FaRKle for the dialogue and insight. Link to Johnung's recommendation. https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...&postcount=150 |

Also, how's the ride been with the Eibachs and F80 bump stops? |

I'm in British Columbia...Yeah...the only place i could find 05-22 were at Tunershop.
The price total price was comparable to buying Eibach springs from other Canadian shops. Springs with shipping all in were $350 CAD...customs and doc fees were $48 CAD. Tunershop got them to my door step from Germany via UPS in 5 day I just received the springs and bump stops. Doing the install with a buddy, who works on cars regularly. The only tool we were missing was the strut spreader...looks to make life a bit easier. Ordered that from Amazon.ca. Johnung has a very good DYI spring install video. Reading the threads 06-22 sit higher and there seems to be quite a few people who were not as satisfied with the lowered stance of the 06-22. To go through all this effort and still have to see that xdrive gap...go for the 05-22. I also found Canadian shops selling 15-22. These have the same front springs as the 05-22 but a different set of rear springs. I couldn't confirm if the would fit a F36 GC but have seem them on F32 coupes. Should be ready to install next weekend. Will let you know how it rides. Good luck |

Did you change the bump stops when you had the H&R springs installed? If you didn't you were probably riding on them the whole time which would definitely cause a terrible feeling ride. I don't have a GC but I put Eibach springs on my xDrive F32 with adaptive suspension and installed shorter bump stops at the same time, the ride is terrific.

I'm going to go with the same set-up that you and smak168 went with. Fingers crossed the wife doesn't notice the car's been lowered! |

Hey Shady67...I was going to they the same plan with the wife...but hope is not a strategy. I had to disclose.
I got her a present at the same time...so these springs are actually costing me a lot more. ...I think she will notice. |

Thanks a lot man, I got a quote from Exoparts in the Toronto area for the F80 bump stops, came up to $120 taxes in, and $400 for the Eibachs after duties. A bit pricier than I expected, but I'd rather do it right this time. Thanks again for all the help, truly appreciate it. |
