PTF also adjusted the map I was running as a test and I just sent back logs for their review. Timing looks better but the wonky HPFP readings and throttle closure is still there and will probably remain there. Is there anything threatening about that, or concerning?

Nope, the throttle closures are a way of the DME reducing air to deal with lack of pressure from the fuel and safeguarding your engine from a dangerous lean condition. DME is simply doing its job, I would be more concerned if it wasn't.

As a note, I was getting dips in rail pressure down to 2000 with the stock pump and throttle closures. I went to the Supra pump and the dips went away as did the throttle closures, same fuel in the tank. i do think the DME seeing lower rail pressure at some point, compensates with throttle closures.

A "feature" of these engines...cyl1 tends to be the one pulling the most timing. I've read some say that the PCV vents right over cyl1 which causes it to pull timing more than the others, but I haven't read a definitive anwer.

I see the same thing, cylinder one first to pull timing most of the time, even in some not wide open throttle situations. Pcv, is that the consensus?

Can you guys take a look please

https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=5fc1...729b348f4a37ae

I went back to the 91 stage 2 map because of winter blend e85 but just swapped back to stage 2 e30. Been having some real issues with the OBD2 to enet with the lightning cable adapter. It works when it wants to, it's really weird so I hope I captured the log, I'm not sure. Car is feeling a lot less powerful and the other night sitting with the heater on during idle it started making a weird noise and I was getting some smoke and it turned itself off, just dropped RPM's and died. I limped it home and it's been fine since but the power hasn't felt the same. Let me know if you guys need another log. Thanks

STFT is very high throughout the rev range, could be a vacuum leak as it's positive. Maybe inspect your aftermarket intake?

Ok thanks man I'll definitely check it. What happens if there is a vacuum leak? The DME adds more fuel to compensate for more air? STFT is short term fuel trim, correct?

I just purchased bootmod3 and will be going stage 1 soon, but wanted to datalog my car before I even cracked the DME.

This is a completely stock car, aside from the MPPSK.

https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=5fc3...729b17859a820e

also I forgot to log the timing corrections, ill get out and do another run in the afternoon.

Greetings,
I am still learning how to read and understand logs, I know some basic stuff but would like to know someone else's opinion on how my engine is performing.

Got a Bootmod3 OTS Stage 2 91 oct map with a small meth nozzle. In my country my gas sucks, they claim it's 91 octane but in reality they say it's like 90 or 89 oct so instead of running the 91acn map I run the 91oct map with a 50/50 meth injection.

https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=5fb0...729b6940614f8e

Here is one log with no meth. Same OTS 91oct map.

https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=5fb0...90c668ff8168e0

Thanks!

Im no expert but the meth log is better as you'd expect.

The no meth log does have a knock count which in turn looks to pull timing from cyl 6.

Its your car at the end of the day but knock isnt good, if your always running meth not an issue i guess.

Oh wow I did not see that. And yes, I do run meth all the time, I just did that one no meth run to see the difference with and without it. Thank you for pointing that out!

Another run with just MPPSK:

https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=5fc4...90c66f39291361

this is one is after I went stage 1 ACN. The log looks fairly clean at least to me...I wonder if I can push it a bit and go for the "regular" stage 1.

Could someone please take a look at the below logs? This is on BM3's stage 2+ E30 OTS map in 3rd gear. Other mods are TU pump, catless downpipe, and XHP stage 3.

Timing seems to be all over the place. Could this mean it's time to replace spark plugs? The current plugs have about 21k miles on them. The car has not thrown any codes.

Your logs on the MPPSK look extremely unhealthy timing wise. The 91ACN log is much cleaner although not perfect. I would recommend that you try and get better quality fuel.

Short term fuel trim (STFT) seems a bit high and your timing is shitty, probably just some bad gas.

if turbo is not maxed out here, then i don't know what is

Please can you take a look.

is the turbo being choked? would i benefit from an intake since its high altitude?

Is there a consensus with which is the stronger MHD map, stg2 95 or stg2 e30 (not the hpfp maps)? Looking at logs and feedback in this thread i'm not seeing it other then the 1 lb difference in boost + with the 95... thoughts???

I would change plugs to be safe, but I am not sure that is the issue. I have the same set up as you and I would get timing pull and erratic timing running E30. I am running E37 now and my timing is clean. I would try E35-E40 and see if the timing cleans up. Good luck!
