As the title suggests, i've just had a tonne of errors arrive after cleaning out the intake manifold and putting it back together. I took it apart a second time to check all the sensors were in the right place and everything seems ok.

Replaced the panel filter just in case but made no difference. Car runs but is in a limp mode and acceleration is poor. Cleared all errors whilst stationery and for a few seconds the car responds as normal but immediately throws errors and slows down.

You might need to redo the job, ensuring all connections are secured and that the manifold is correctly seated with no trapped wires. Worth checking the flap mechanism too to see if the flap motor lever is engaged with the spindle.

BMW don’t always key them to avoid this.

Already redid it once. Triple checked and nothing out of the ordinary.

Most of the sensors were completely different to each other so this wasn't an issue here. Only ones remotely the same were too far away from each to be an issue. Good to not for the future though.

Clear all the codes... Try the good old battery disconnect for an hour?

I had a similar issue with my car and ended up having the swirl flaps deleted as the mechanical error is down to the motor going beyond the it's rest position. Which in turn will cause all sorts of boost plausibility faults etc. Try starting the car three or four times which will trigger the flap motor to work again hopefully and reset the codes whilst the car is running still. Then road-test . If the car drives as normal then you're going to have to have the flaps coded out or I believe it's a complete manifold to rectify.
I believe it's actually caused by the build up of carbon putting strain on the flap motor originally.

Turns out one of the bolts has snapped. No idea how i missed it. Anyone know how to insert a new bolt.... arent they sleeved?

Just FYI for anyone who stumbles across here.

This is actually correct. The stops for the arm had perished so it swang too far causing an error.

Will try and get it coded out now.
